Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Can I tell you guys my favourite thing about a&h? It's the crowd sourced psychology. It's never really talked about, but it's a fairly integral part of what normies call the dark web, you can see it in hwndu, chanology - all the way back to habbo hotel because it grew as part of the evolution of trolling, and the various lolcow zoos that have and do exist sharpened it to a laser. We might all be idiots, but collectively we have seen enough of the worst of humanity to be able to figure out someone's motives and how they will react to certain stimuli. And in a&h it is applied to current events, which not only cuts through the bullshit and propaganda, but is also incredibly entertaining. It has certainly made this thread entertaining. And now we all know how to spot a wild corbin.

Eh, it was pretty boring cattiness. But those are all in Corbin Dallas multipass messages, which i can't access. No earth shattering revelations. The stand out part was someone saying cdma thinks there's a conspiracy against him, to which another person replied "well I guess there is now". But it was basic mean girls shit.

Look back at my ban thread. Null says "it has been proposed that corbin should be banned." There was pressure on null from... Somewhere, to get rid of me, and then I annoyed him with quoted replies (I didn't do that on purpose)

Before I was banned, while the vote was ongoing, yawning sneasel told me he didn't think it was real and if it was it's just be a week. Then suddenly I was permad. I had no way to ask how long it was, so I made an account just to ask that.

Of course, that was socking, so now if it wasn't perma it is now, or something. But how was I supposed to ask about the length? The ban message was "rules of nature"... Looks like a joke.

Finally, a bunch of internet randos will always vote to ban when given a choice. They assume there must be a good reason. Go ahead, put up a vote to ban almost anyone else and see how it goes.

Also, @TerribleIdeas™ contacted me, saying he was banned from tts asking me to help him, which I did. Dude completely threw me under the bus after...
He was complaining that dynastia taunted him about the death of a child. That episode was a big part of why I got banned, so thanks, @TerribleIdeas™ , I'll try not to ever make that mistake again. I thought you were being a human being and I made the mistake of empathising.

I didn't throw you under the bus at any time. I contacted you about the apparently random bans I was experiencing from multiple parts of the board. I did so because you were someone that had been around longer, and appeared to understand the process for addressing such concerns. I didn't support banning you when it was a topic, anymore than I felt admin action was necessary against myself or Dynastia, for anything said in the 2nd Wave Feminism thread.

I'm not sure if you're mistaking me for someone else or not, but I didn't vote to ban you, anymore than I would have voted to ban anyone else.

Exactly. His potent brand of autism and need to be liked has an unusually high chance of making him the greatest mod in site history.

...or he'll just delete the r/The_Donald megathread.

Either way, it'd be magical.
