Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

I took a magnifying glass to some of their examples in imgur.
I don't think it's about KF only.
Feminists have been very pissed at archiveis being used to document their duplicity for a very long time.
I suspect this is about the sweet baby inc blow-up as the timing is right and it has the gaming community once again digging into SJW's fucking around, and whenever they're found out they're trying to hide, but you can't hide the archives.

Yeah it's been a known thing that he tends to not bend the knee for shit unless it's blatantly illegal and lol you can just whine real nice to archive.org and get anything you want removed.

Looks like it's mostly links to the sketchier porn site in the jpg.

Guessing it's election season worries.

Hope it survives, thrives, and spits out a downloadable archive if it has to be put down, so my old link fragments will still work... somewhere somehow. I've archived over 10,000 articles or pages easily.

Been under attack before during GamerGate(1)
With GamerGate2 flaring it makes sense they're once again subject to these scummy tactics.
I expect this to produce localized and intermittent interruptions to services, but figured I'd post it here so people know what's up if they're using an impacted resolver.
As of today, if I want to use archiveis I have to fall back to my default ISP resolver since quad9 doesn't work.
 
Its an election year but, and maybe its just me, it really doesn't feel like it. Nobody cares about the senate and house races, not even election news sites, no debates are occuring, there's no active veepstakes, news about the candidates isn't about campaign events, its about them in court. Very disappointing.

this but child sex crimes although i believe these threads would end up having significant overlap
what about a rape megathread
that seems like a nice name that no journalist would ever take out of context
 
I've never posted a thread, but I was thinking of doing one. There are so many stories about random, senseless violence I thought it would be good to aggregate them in a megathread. The thing they have in common is they can happen anywhere, anytime, and increasingly for no reason. It would be interesting to discuss them and why our society has spawned this.

I just wasn't sure it would be cool to up and post a megathread instead of a single article thread.
