A bit late to posting this, but I wanted to make sure I got all my ducks in a row with this, so strap in for a bit of a long post.

Apparently, this one seemingly random nothing episode pissed quite a few people off due to the fact that they used another YouTuber's video to show the ending of Double Switch.
Should clarify for those who don't know that this isn't the first time they've done this. They did this once to show all the alternate endings of Bloodborne after Arin forgot to eat the Umbilical Cords to unlock the final boss, and again in Dead Rising after he couldn't fight the military and endgame enemies because he was so damn under leveled (you're supposed to be level 40 when you enter that area, he was level 19). However in both cases, people gave them leeway because not only did they credit the people involved in both the video and description, but nobody expected them to play through those games all over again or grind for episodes just to watch a cutscene.
What makes this especially exceptional was that the video was posted a whole week after the initial 3 episode run of it post-schedule change, so people legitimately thought that the series wasn't going to come out, and instead of them finishing the game, what happened instead was the
entire episode is them making fart and shit jokes over someone else's walkthrough. No interaction, no real humor, they don't even comment on what's in the game.
The thing too is that Double Switch, to my knowledge, is a super short game and is heavily inspired by 90's FMV games where the entire point is to play through what's essentially an interactive movie where you earn your ending. Length and redos aren't an issue this time around.
It also turns out they never credited the guy
at all, and
instead used the description to advertise their merch links. Twice. One right under the subscribe link like they always do, and one in big hideous "PAY ATTENTION TO THIS" spacing and asterisk lines, whilst being written in all caps. The only mention that this was someone else's video was...they showed the title of the video.
And to top it all off: that was the only Game Grumps video for that day, with the only other upload being a TMPH schedule. This lead many fans on the main subreddit and in the comments pointing out that, A.) they basically just stole views from a small channel because they were too lazy and frustrated to finish the game because they read a walkthrough wrong (and yes, you read that right: they used a
walkthrough for an FMV-based game and still somehow managed to fuck themselves over), B.) if they were going to do this, this should've been in the Free Slot on Fridays given it wasn't an actual "Game Grumps episode", and C.) if the schedule was made to cut down on stress and focus on other projects, why are they still half-assing episodes of the main show.
Give DSP credit: at least he actually
plays the games he plays. He might be godawful at it, but it's much more interesting to watch than an awful episode of Mystery Science Game Grumps 3000.
