Shocked Arin didnt get a thread here until now. I browse r/rantgrumps for a few years and it's pretty obvious how Game Grumps has declined. Now they're simply souless husks who hate their jobs but do it for easy money.

Anyway, here is some material i can think for now:

1- Arin HATES his fans and blames them for his mistakes. When Suzy scammed the fuck out of people he blamed the fanbase for harassing her. When they doxed the walkthrough guy, he blamed it on the fans again for "being uncool" and never apologized. I'm going to cite another great example i didnt see mentioned yet:

2 months ago a fan would reply to arin with a joke saying Ross is not cool. This "joke" was invented by Arin himself because he would constantly bash Ross on his videos.

Ross himself says he is cool with it but Arin isn't and he mumbles about how it bothers him. "Oh just because it's a meme means you can shit on someone? That is uncool." This is of course fucking hypocrisy because Arin was the one who made this "meme". Even Ross realizes and says that there are hours long youtube compilations of Arin shitting on him.

Again, Arin hates his fans.

2- Arin also manipulates the fucks out of his fans. First of all, he doxed someone so he knows how much power he has even by accident, but a lot of the times he exploits it intentionally. I think the CRINGIEST example would be when 2 years ago, Arin literally started a video by asking his fans to "help him get Chris Pratt on the channel".

Also: don't forget the time the fans brigaded Heavy Iron Studios' Facebook page (the developers of Battle for Bikini Bottom, amongst other fairly well-received Nickelodeon game), whom were asking fans for a sequel/remake to it, only to get bombarded with Grumps' fans brigading and parroting Arin's "shovelware" comments, causing the studio to go into full panic mode and completely shut down on any mention of involvement whatsoever, even after THQNordic announced plans last year to revitalize said franchises. They'll mention the community's actions, but no word on game development, especially since they've gone independent and are in a much more precarious position.

EDIT: Which they went so far as to delete the post apparently, which I'm currently trying to find. Will update once I find that screenshot or link again to archive.

EDIT 2: The only real evidence I can find related to that time frame was a post on March 25th, where they advertise a petition and explain they don't have the license but show mild interest, though this was almost exactly 2 months before the other post was made. Not the post in question, as the one I'm thinking of was them outright asking if people wanted a sequel/remakes.

Within a few days of that post being made, not only were the Grumps midway through their Let's Play of Battle for Bikini Bottom and outright insulted everyone whom sent him this game in the first episode, but completely blows Dan off later when he starts waxing nostalgic about his tenure on Game Grumps thus far.

Fan fact: after that series, they've mysteriously never credited anyone for sending in games ever again (but are absolutely glad to ask for a $500 Flinstones game whenever they see fit, despite living in an office so gaudy and expensive it would make Richie Rich blush).

I think Arin really isn't cut out to be a main entertainer like he is trying to be with Dan on the current Game Grumps. As much as i like Danny i can defiantly say he inst good at the type of improve that is required for an LP. I would argue that the SBFP where about as good but they had Crazy talk on there side and some of the games they played where just naturally gave something to talk about. I think Arin worked best with Jon because Jon as naturally charismatic and was able to play off of what ever Arin did and i don't think danny has the same ablity. Guts is a good example Arin is basically throwing a tantrum and Jon just rolls with it and tries to play it like is overreacting for the audience.
Hell one of my favorite Game grumps moments highlights this pretty well i think.

They've both been pretty vague on the specifics and I think it has long since been blown out of proportion. I think part of it is Jon felt Game Grumps was growing stagnant, or at the very least he wanted to do more creative things on his own channel. But a significantly bigger part was Jon's GF lived in New York, and just in general Jon really seems to enjoy NY. I remember a few of the 06 videos (I think?) were Jon talking about how he had gotten back from a NY trip and how great it was there. There were rumors circulating that Jon and Suzy didn't get along particularly well and that caused some tension too, which eh, I could believe just based on the kind of person Suzy is, but again, I don't think that was by any means what caused Jon to leave.

Actually, now that I write it, the fact that Jon moved as opposed to just straight up leaving the channel really makes me think it wasn't primarily Grump related. It would be one thing if he had quit Grumps and continued to live in California and was doing his own thing, but the fact that he left at the same time he moved really makes it seem like he'd have probably stayed if not for moving. He's also gone on to do some minor videos with Ross and Arin since then, so if there was bad blood it was apparently buried. Arin is probably more anti-Jon now though because of the SJW backlash to Jon.

In the videos I saw, Ross never seemed to sperg out or anything. I can barely recall any personal details about him. The fact that nobody seems to know why him and his wife split suggests he keeps a pretty tight lid on things.

On Ross, he has a fairly annoying personality and seems to have issues understanding other peoples' perspectives. In the Mario Maker series they play his levels and they're designed to be frustratingly hard, some levels only have a 5% pass rate IIRC. Also, when the crew was playing Fortune Street, Ross routinely took forever to take his turn and that slowed the flow of the game. All in all, Ross is the type of guy who will annoy someone for a laugh. Finally, they did a special about the crew getting into World of Warcraft, and Ross bought them all high level characters and rare gear and stuff. His wife even chastised him because no newbie to MMOs is going to appreciate the time and effort it takes to get to max level or have a mount very few others have, and they aren't going to know what to do if you start them off at high level, especially since guys like Arin don't like to read quest descriptions or instructions.

So in addition to his entertainment avenues failing, Holly could very well be dealing with a less severe manchild/someone's who better at hiding it (I mean he admitted to getting married in Doctor Who cosplay FFS), and that might have built up over the years to where she just couldn't tolerate being with him anymore.

Sorry if it's off-topic but here's a bit more info about this.
A lot of people online have noted that the artists behind these designs work for The Odd Gentlemen. For those who don't know, The Odd Gentlemen is a video game studio who were accused of stealing money from the Homestuck Kickstarter to make their King's Quest remake (which Dan very happily played on Game Grumps).
They've also been accused of tracing/heavily referencing screenshots from Dirty Pair which a lot of people had a problem with.

Apparently, one of the reasons why his co hosts (julian and ding dong) left the channel for such a long time was because they got apparently shit from Arin and his internet mafia, cause julian and ding dong shat non stop on that game developed by Arin (Showering With Your Dad or whatever it was called) and Arin didn't like it.
Oney probably not wanting to break relations with both sides probably tried to encourage julian and ding dong to make amends with Arin which probably wasn't something Julian and ding dong wanted to do.

Skimmed through and didn't see anyone post this yet, but yeah, the game was Dream Daddy, that really obvious tumblr-grab gay dating sim, and ding dong and julian stated that they'd played an early build of the game and didn't like it, didn't like what they saw of the development when they were in the same office, how it tried to call itself SO PROGRESSIVE while obviously just trying to capitalize on the tumblr crowd, etc.

Suzy and Brian defended the game on twitter, with Brian saying that anyone calling the game a cash grab is insulting and "don't be mean to the team they worked hard uwu" and Suzy stating somewhat bluntly that dingdong and julian had nothing to do with work on the game. Because calmly and thoughtfully stating his opinions while emphasizing that he didn't blame the grumps for funding the game was completely unacceptable, right? I've seen shit about Ding dong and Julian stating that they felt uncomfortable working in the same office after that, but no direct sources on that one. Most of the drama seemed to have been fueled by Suzy, Brian and rabid grumps/dream daddy fans.

I agree about him not being particularly funny and coming off as rather immature, but I never thought it crossed into cow territory. If anything, I always thought Ross was playing up to the audience. Let's be real, a lot of the viewers are on the younger side and tend to appreciate the annoy someone for a laugh sense of humor. I always thought Brian fell under that same umbrella, which is why I wasn't too big on his stuff. Maybe I just didn't follow him enough, or maybe it's just in comparison to Arin his cowish traits are tame in comparison. I do think anyone who has such a close friendship with a cow must share at least some of their traits/views, so there's always the potential of being a cow by proxy and just hiding it better.

As you can imagine it just came across as really pathetic.

The contrast between Chris and Arin has always been very interesting to me. They're both former Newgrounds animators that got into LPs but Chris is actually honest about the kind of person he is online making jokes about Hitler and saying "faggot" right in front of his gay friends while admitting that Oneyplays is just something he uses to raise money for his other projects.
