I don't get why a lot of people don't like Danny. He's charismatic and funny at times. Him and Ross are probably the only members of the game grumps crew I have no hang ups on liking.
 
Haven't watched Game Grumps in a long time, but my favorite playthroughs when I did were probably Dan and Ross playing Sierra games. They had a nice dynamic from what I remember, unlike Arin's autistic screeching while Dan awkwardly laughs.

Things seemed pretty stagnant when I looked at the channel recently. Is Game Grumps Arin's main cash cow or does he get enough revenue from other things (merch, voice acting, etc) that it doesn't matter? I imagine he's gotta be kinda tense if he relies heavily on Game Grumps $$$ for steady income.

While i dont know if arins the reason for this, julian mentioned on his tumblr that he left oneyplays because he didnt want to be associated with "lets play culture".

Apparently Ross's wife left because California was "too stressful" for their pet birds.
If true, that might just be the lamest excuse for a divorce in the history of human relationships.

Huh, never thought I'd see the day Egoraptor finally getting a Featured Thread here, especially given the original thread was just left to rot for a bit. After following this guy's weird exploits and fandom shitstorms for years, seeing that pop up in my feed was all sorts of cathartic and hilarious.
 
I think the topic creator might be just a tiny bit Autistic.

Also the Game Grumps being shit at video games is literally the best part about Game Grumps. Knowing what they're doing wrong gives the videos a sense of dramatic irony that let's plays don't normally have.

The entire Game Grumps staff in general seem like these weird emotionally stunted pussy-whipped dudes who just go along with whatever their wives want. I don’t even know how you internalize such a lack of self-respect.

Ross’s wife is the one from the D&D livestream with ProJared, Chris Perkins, NateWantsToBattle, and a literally who. As expected, everyone was cringy when I tried to get into the streams.
Except ProJared. God bless him.

Like others have said, Dan seems more uncomfortable with it, but just goes along with it because everyone else does too. Either that, or he's really just playing it up for laughs. I don't have any specific examples to draw from cause I haven't watched the Grumps in years, but just in general the types of stories that Dan classified as embarrassing or the issues he'd dance around when telling stories suggest he's more reserved than Arin is. I think there was an incident with him and Ross where Ross was reading fanfic Brian wrote about him and Dan was legit uncomfortable by it.

With Arin though, it goes back to him being in his highschool manchild phase. He's going for that edgy "look how much I don't care" style of humor that most 14-15 year old's go through. He's the kid who'd shamelessly shout penis as loud as he could just to get people to look at him, then he'd crack up laughing at his antics because he thinks he's so quirky and unique for not having any self-respect. Arin has no idea how to socialize beyond that because he's never been forced to do traditional adult things. Whenever they talked about doing their side stuff, it always seemed to boil down to Arin's friends approaching him and guiding him through the process, or Arin giving the idea to one of his friends who then guided him through the process.
 
Finally, Arin gets his own god damned thread.

He single-handedly ruined game grumps. He drives Jon away, gives Ross the boot, cancels fucking everything but his own portion of the show, and then is shit at that part, too.

A lot of games that he's the one playing are EXCRUCIATING to watch him play. (Unless he's played it a million times before) He doesn't pay attention to basic instructions, and then is SHOCKED that he has no idea what to do and is bad at the game. But hurrdurr, that's the game's fault, right? He can't figure out games a 10 year old can beat no fucking issue and he's a nearly 40 something year old man.

His play through of Majora's Mask was the final nail in the coffin for me. And talking to several of my friends and other former grumpfans? It was for them, too. He was painfully shit at the game and brought up his preachy politics constantly. It turned a lot of people away from the show entirely.

It's more obnoxious because he KNOWS it's him at some point or another in the play throughs when all this is going on, but instead of gracefully saying WOW I SUCK. I SHOULD HAVE PAID ATTENTION, he somehow blames his fans who are understandably annoyed that he just wasted 4 episodes doing jackshit when it should have taken him 5 minutes. It's usually to the tune of 'AND I BET THERE'S A TON OF COMMENTS IN THERE TELLING ME.' like it's some how too much to ask for him to read the instructions he's given.

I mentioned in Suzie's thread that I don't understand how Arin keeps having these fall outs with his friends (Oney, Ross, Jon) and no one catches on that it's probably him.

(also- rate me mad on the internet. This has just been a long time coming. And I can't wait for arin to chimp out and whine about the thread)
 
A good read. But if this is all this lolcow has to show for the years they've been on the internet. Unless they go on a full downward spiral soon, I think you're going to have a hard time with regular cow content here.
