This isn't a matter of good or bad. It's a difference in the particular kind of person.
KF is surprisingly politically diverse. There are a fair number of Left-wing and Right-wing people here who congregate in different subforums, generally united by their shared love of people-watching and desire to mock retards on the internet. A lot of people on KF are Web 1.0 oldfags who despise the smartphone-slinging soyboy midwit clout-chasers who populate Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, et cetera. The general attitude is populist, blue-collar, and libertarian (not the sense of strictly Ayn Rand-ish Libertarian, but generally, anti-statist, regardless of left or right affiliation, though there are some Moldbug fans). There are also left-wing radfems who feel marginalized by the mainstream. There are white nationalists, black nationalists, Syrian nationalists, you name it. Jews and antisemites go arm-in-arm here, because they are all Farmers first. An odd confederacy.
Half of KF is composed of people who exhibit a totally normal disgust response to an increasingly Weimar-ized, permissive, degenerate culture, while the other half just want to watch the world burn. There is greater acceptance of conspiracy thinking, especially since a lot of KF members are people who were displaced by encroaching censorship and the ongoing, disgusting corpo-gentrification of the wider internet by the managerial elites. If you tell Farmers this to their faces, they will deny it. "We're not that political, we're just here for the Jerry Springer-style amusing shenanigans," but the incendiary and sometimes astute political commentary on the board is at odds with that assessment. Null has expressed dissatisfaction at the increasing politicization of the Farms and a desire to return to the good ol' days of ribbing retards, but this isn't a KF problem. It's a problem with the whole internet and the wider culture experiencing massive political polarization that is bleeding into this forum, too.
KF is often characterized as a board full of angry reactionaries who want to push transgender people to suicide through doxing, but this is inaccurate. Many of the people doxed by KF were doxed because they had a long history of exhibiting truly bizarre or criminal behavior on social media; going on long schizoid rants, getting into fisticuffs on sidewalks, grooming minors in chat rooms, selling bathtub HRT to minors, abusing their partners, incest-raping their elderly parents, doing hard drugs and bragging about it, engaging in zoophilia or zoosadism, and other such horrors.
The people generally opposed to KF are demoralized Redditor/Discord Mod coomer-consoomer bugmen with utterly busted disgust barometers who have a permissive attitude to just about anything. The authorities despise KF because, like 4chan (with whom it partially shares a userbase), it is jam-packed with dissidents, but also, because the authorities want to destroy traditional value structures and convert as many people as possible into the aforementioned demoralized Weimar-dwellers to make them easy to manipulate and control, and are censoring the wider internet with the specific aim of enforcing this tyrannical regime.
Farmers aren't bad people. Far from it. They are the remnants of the original, native inhabitants of the internet, bound together by a unique, unbreakable faith and camaraderie. KF is the Afghanistan of the Internet; hostile, mountainous, and unconquerable.
