This forum is like Reddit and 4chan, minus the fact that both of those sites have retards on them that actively try to get involved. The OP's are better formatted as well. If someone is struggling with some inner conflict of feeling bad for sharing their views on a person/situation then that's a personal problem and they should go offline for it.

We're some of the people in the mall. Just average everyday chumps who were a little bit smarter and luckier than the rest. Everyone else has turned into bloodthirsty suicidal lunatics, and they've eaten or chased off the assholes who used to run things. Now they're trying to get inside and eat us. We're on the roof, documenting the especially stupid looking zombies, taking photographs and potshots and generally screwing with them out of boredom.
 
I'm not a great person, but the site has plenty of people who are accidentally pretty good. The whole site is accidentally pretty good. I think the original purpose of it was just to have fun through schadenfreude, but then there are sleuths on here who sometimes straight-up do the investigative work that people wish groups such as the FBI or CIA would be capable of, and they do it purely out of charity. Fucking wild.

I truly believe in the age old adage of "Do Unto Others as Others Do To You" online and offline and Karma, to put it mildly. If someone, for example, once bullied me and if I stumble upon them years later and we laugh and joke, then I forgive them. Ex: One guy literally posted on Facebook to vote for me for Prom Queen. We were both popular, but he was at the Guitar Club in Middle School. :)

To be fair, it's the ones who both post outside there but can't contain extreme autism that are the bad ones. You can tell when a thread gets featured without even looking at the front page because whatever it was about, it's now suddenly about da j00ze.
 
We're not a unified group. Simply being a member here, laughing at the antics of idiots and speds, or documenting their actions doesn't make anyone a bad person. But that's also not the entirity of the user base here. There are people with and without accounts who will use the information here to reach out and touch poop. Active involvement crosses a line imo and you're in far safer moral territory if you simply don't. Granted, it can be done with benign intent (see: Null's ultimately futile attempts to help Chris) but I think that's the exception rather than the rule. I've participated in live chat when certain lolcows have been streaming, and I know they've read my messages, so I'm not innocent in this matter.
 
The bad people are the ones who dox and try to get people fired or harmed (unless they are willing to show up themselves alone) and the good ones are the ones who genuinely have things they like about the people they view and who don’t wish any actual harm on them.
 
Considering the way people who get doxxed and halaled are treated I’d say we probably are. There are some good but sadly this site has become far crueler recently possibly as a result of how oppressive this whole decade has been. In the 2010s people were more chill but it’s becoming worse. We need to bring back the value of religion to here i think otherwise we’re going to become too mean, and be demonised as a result.

Normally it's pretty hard to get doxed here if you follow the rules. I was literally waving my ass around the general doxing thread asking to be doxed and all that happened was someone thought I was a housing developer and i got banned from the thread.
