Creativity and community. Woven together.

Inspired by the creative process of mosaic, the new Black Unity watch band and matching watch face symbolize the vibrancy of Black communities and the power of unity.

Black Unity Sport Loop
$49
I'm sure there's soys out there who'd shell out almost $50 for a woke "virtue signalling" black, red, yellow, and green watchband.

(while making that soy face)

I cannot emphasize enough that I dnt want to see any wh*te pe*ple wearing this Watch band in 2023. If you are wh*te and can afford one, you be donatin that to a Black family in your local area. This shit's bout Black liberation, yall

I hope Tim cook and the entire R&D department have a special place in hell reserved for them for taking out the head jack because now google and Samsung are finally chasing that trend and now its getting harder and harder to find a decent phone with a head jack
I felt that too when they removed it but now I just use wireless headphones everywhere, which I suppose is the point. Sure you've got to recharge them but in general is this not actually better? Is this for professional audio use perhaps? What do you specifically not like about this?

Most things in iCloud are encrypted now, with a feature called Advanced Data Protection. The only things not included to my knowledge are emails, probably at the request of government spooks. As far as I was aware, FileVault stores the key locally, but looking it up gives cryptic answers, the most they say is that it’s stored in the user’s account. If it is in iCloud it might be encrypted now if that’s even possible as I’m a bit retarded.

Had an interesting circumstance last week where a user (who we'd migrated from a previous Mac) couldn't save her home wifi password in her keychain; investigating her local file system revealed the presence of the keychain but it was indeed basically inaccessible. She was signed into iCloud but didn't have the "keychain" option checked; once we did that the keychain was accessible. So, the data's stored locally, encrypted, and the key is escrowed to iCloud, would be my guess.

They mostly sound like shit, are completely unreliable, and cost way too much for terrible performance.

This is not a surprise really. Samsung phones are looking good, honestly.

I can't tell the difference honestly. Maybe I just hear like shit I guess?

Defintely low-end bluetooth headphones are horrible but the higher-end ones, i.e. sony xm4s, airpods etc are really good, and while the cost is obviously quite a bit higher, I don't think the cost of the airpods for example is too excessive given how much I use them and how much value I get from them. I effortlessly switch them between devices, they even play nice with windows. I wish the battery life could be longer though, and hopefully Apple can do something about that one day.

I have hated Apple with a passion since the 90s, but since all the tech companies are now emulating Apple, I have substantially less reason to avoid Apple products.

The practical upshot of this is that I'm seriously considering buying an iPhone 14 Pro as my daily driver. Primarily for photographic reasons! The ProDNG concept, where the phone itself deals with the demosaic (very domain/implementation specific process) while providing the high-bit-depth images is actually vaguely innovative, and Apple optics are second to none.

My half-brother (from my mom's side) has been and still an Apple consumer despite being a diehard conservative. Kinda ironic here considering Apple has been a very liberal corporation.

Ironically, the original iPhone had one of the worst cameras available at the time, apparently because Steve Jobs was completely buttmad people wanted one in a phone. I wouldn't buy an iPhone 14 just for a camera though.

Wait till the 15 as it'll have usb-c or get a proper camera

The older I get the more I just want shit to work straight out of the box. In my youth I could be fucked with tinkering around for days but now I kinda just like replying to text messages on my computer while I’m working and being able to copy text from my phone and paste it in a doc on my computer. But when shit doesn’t work with Apple it’s nigh impossible to fix and the insufferable Apple cunts on forums are more than useless.

"Good morning. We're so glad you could join us. Today at Apple, we're proud to announce the iPhone 21. This time, it's literally just a fucking screen. No buttons, no camera, no nothing; just a whole-ass screen. But we know you dumbass niggas will still buy it."

Those pictures of Tim Apple are at their "O-Campus", right? I'd love to take my bicycle there and just go round and round as fast as I can.

The older versions(Yosemite and a couple more) can be downloaded but the M1(I think it's an M1, it's new) refuses to have anything to do with them so Apple's official guides doesn't work.
And like I said, the installation over the net is fucked beyond belief. [...] Come hell or high water I'm going to get that piece of shit OS installed on that machine.
Sorry for the extremely late reply but did you try one of the DosDude1 patcher tools (the ones for Sierra through Catalina)? While most people use them to install those OSes on unsupported shitboxes they can also be used to just make bootable USBs for supported macs.
