So what am I in for? I'm a loonixfag who mostly does programming. I know I can get Asahi if worst comes to worst, but I figured I'd give OS X a shot first since I am paying for it.
If you want to ease the transition make sure to get Homebrew, a package manager that has a lot of Linux and other Unix packages imported. It either downloads binaries directly or if, for whatever reason it can't, builds the package locally.

You can also use it to install apt and other package managers if you prefer.

I still have vivid memories of the day Steve Jobs died. I was in college and every single one of them were doing performative mourning of Job's passing. I unironically yelled a big WOOOOO! like I was about to give a speech regarding spilled liquor and Golden Retrievers. I purchased a few slices of pizza and jovially ate it in front of the fucks, enjoying their look of disapproval.

Now tell me, did you woo in the same style as either Ric Flair or JoeysWorldTour or this guy?

You can't talk about spilled liquor and golden retrievers without doing it like the Nature Boy. I do admit, it was rather ralphamale to celebrate deaths in such a vulgar manner.

The best part of that story happened 2 years later. "OMG I need to render. MacbookPro non stop for 3 days." I would hear everyone say. Meanwhile, I hit the render button the previous night and it was already complete by the time I woke up.

Why not a framework laptop?
The framework 16 isn't out yet and I'm not really in a position to wait much longer to actually buy something since my current 2013 Latitude is on its last legs. Also I've heard mixed things about the current framework machines now that they've been out for a while and, after getting burned by s76, I'm kinda done with the freedom-focused laptop companies for now.

Don't feel obligated to do this. Brew is the worst package manager I have ever used. I still use it but I rather just download software and build the source over using it. The only application I use that Brew is useful for was Emacs.

I'll be a little sad when Woz dies. I don't know much about the guy but he seems like the opposite of Jobs, as in a good person.

Applefags are so braindead they literally do not understand how the world works outside what Apple wants them to think. They're now whining about the limited EU-only sideloading support because they think the internet will be full of surprise app bomb downloads (meaning they are now crying for antivirus software) or that everything will offer app downloads and every retard will download and accept viruses everyday and that they' have "lost Apple's protection from the evil world"

You know, they deserve that.

Has anyone used Sidecar? I’m getting an iPad Air in a few days and I’m curious how well that feature works and if it works over just Bluetooth?

Iirc Luna Display allows u to actually use it as a 2nd monitor and a drawing tablet via wifi or a usb cable

Downside is its pricey af

"How Apple's Vision Pro Will Change Society Forever" - Moon
Anyone who wears that faggot ass looking thing in public needs their face punched in. It looks like those visors those two cults of sissy hypno furfags wear.

tl;dw: Moon claims that this Apple VR thing will lead to VR and "augmented reality" becoming mainstream.

But he may not see that as a good thing.
Counterpoint: Head-mounted displays are uncomfortable and tug on your hair. The market for Vision Pros are soyboys with more money than sense. It is a novelty.

I'm honestly surprised Apple's making such a thing. I've yet to see a single headset anywhere that wasn't just a very expensive toy with no practical usefulness.
