Spy x Family is also hosting its first Jump popularity poll, except instead of voting for the character that held your attention span the longest, you're voting for your favorite Anya face.

I’ve been reading Kengan Asura lately, and I have to say, it's fantastic.
The art is appealing, the fights are super hyped, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's very fun, and I like how the MC can be absent for chapters on end. That allows the other characters to be more than just the fight of the week.
I would highly recommend it if you like fight scenes.
I tried to watch the anime, but the CG is just unappealing to me, so I dropped it. And that's a shame, if it was done in 2D it would probably look much better.

Hilarious that it won Crunchyroll's anime of the decade poll, proving that normie fans are bandwagon hoppers that forget everything they saw when the next craze comes along.
Welcome to 1996-97, same bandwagon hopping normies (minus the furries), different decade,

I've been watching through some of Yoshitoshi Abe's stuff lately. I had seen Serial Experiments Lain and Haibane Renmei a while back, but I just finished watching Niea Under 7. I started Texhnolyze , but it's been a pretty slow start

I know it’s not new but I’m watching Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time and really like it. Of course I’m a Kurama fag. B4667BA5-6C9B-486A-87F5-9DBDF054DE3A.jpeg

Looks like Re:Zero S2 has been postponed because of Corona-chan.

I am very sad it caught up to the manga and they had to end it before the last arc happened.

That's what I read is that the ending is different between versions. The only thing I didn't like was taking 5 episodes for Yusuke to get his body back. I wish it only took two lol.

heh in the manga that Yusuke as ghost was a good long ass arc.

Now this is war.

Meh. Gives me more time to check out the director's cut episodes.

Now if Corona-chan postpones Fruits Basket, there's gonna be hell to pay.

I hope Corona-chan doesn't delay the 3rd season of Non Non Biyori although there really hasn't been any new news about it since last May, when it was announced for 2020. If it were still slated to air this year, it'll almost certainly be a fall show, like the first season, because I think they'd have at least announced an airdate by now if it were a summer series, like Non Non Biyori Repeat.

It seems like one of Nico Tanigawa, the duo responsible for WataMote, is sick and may delay the next chapter by a week though I presume it's just a cold. (37.8 degrees Centigrade really isn't that much of a fever.)

Went through most of the rest of Jiro Matsumoto's stuff after finishing Alice in Hell. Freesia was definitely my favorite. Not many other stories out there about an unstoppable killing machine who spends most of his time not moving and zoning out and being crazy because he's a fucking schizo.

He's also the only guy I've seen that draws nudity and sex scenes sans any kind of mosaics, curious as to how he's able to avoid their super strict censorship rules.

That's what I read that sounds awful honestly.
It had some good parts like when he has to help a kid deal with his dog being near death. You're doing yourself a disservice by not consuming both forms of YYH because it's one of the classics.

Niea Under 7 is interesting, it's pretty slow paced, but it's a very unique series.

From out of nowhere Netflix throwed the original Mazinger Z anime, sadly in my version it only came with (for some reason) new latin american dub and the original Japanese dub with spanish subtitles, the subs annoy me to dead because they jump from Foto-atomic energy and Fotonic energy from time to time and that trigger my robotic autism wonder if they are going to get Great Mazinger and Grendizer, maybe make the kids dip on Getter robo?

Looks like with the success of Devilman: Crybaby and people looking more into his work, we'll get more Go Nagai shows to come on Netflix. A lot of his work was adapted as OVAs, though, and far as I know, those aren't "qualified" or whatnot (maybe they're old/expired licenses?) to be streamed on Netflix, otherwise I think we would've gotten some of them up there.

But if OVAs ever get the go-ahead, Giant Robo should totally be on Netflix. Pan Pizza I don't think made it any more popular than before.

So we're nearing the release of the Netflix Ghost in the Shell cgi movie

Oh boooo I just found out who's in charge of the music, and it's not Yoko Kanno. It's some chick named Nobuko Toda.

She seems to be new to the industry or something, she doesn't have a lot of credits to her name. If you can recall any piece of music from these shows, then maybe she'll be a worthy replacement:

Amaama to Inazuma
Housekishou Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei
Isshuukan Friends.
Space Bug
Ultraman
(Netflix)

EDIT:
WAIT, hold on, she mostly does video game music, most notably Metal Gear Solid. Okay, that's better.
