From out of nowhere Netflix throwed the original Mazinger Z anime, sadly in my version it only came with (for some reason) new latin american dub and the original Japanese dub with spanish subtitles, the subs annoy me to dead because they jump from Foto-atomic energy and Fotonic energy from time to time and that trigger my robotic autism wonder if they are going to get Great Mazinger and Grendizer, maybe make the kids dip on Getter robo?
are you that BR on /m/
Niea Under 7 is interesting, it's pretty slow paced, but it's a very unique series.
one of the few animes to flat-out reference weed or to discuss the idea of poverty or immigrants, very noice
Hellsing tenth anniversary
yeah well fuck your mom I aint old fuck you kids

Yup, it deals with immigrants in Japan in a really interesting way and judging from most anime you wouldn't even know Japan has immigrants.

Also dude, Hellsing itself is over 20 years old now, I was just saying it's been ten years since the last time I read the manga.

an extra helping of fuck your mom to you

but yeah anything that even notices that poor people or immigrants is a very very rare thing

Demolition D+ has uploaded another video after 3 years, this is not a drill:

Hey, don't get mad at me, I know exactly you feel.

But fyi the original Hellsing manga started in 1997, the TV series was 2001 and the OVA series started in 2006.

Like I said, I know exactly how you feel, it doesn't feel like it's been that long since I last read the manga in 2010 at all.

No, but something is telling me there is a funny story behind that , it just that I stick with the localized terms
there was some BR or few on 4/m/ that was hype over KR on BR Netflix, don't have any wacky story including tour groups or Doreenyo or Dora-rinho or whatever

It saddens me that not enough people know about Doraemon in this side of the world, I mean people was asking why that Doraemon harvest moon game was even localized

The problem I had with the new subs its that same as the dub they are brand new commissioned by Japan and the thing looks like some millennial was asked to do it and don't know crap about Mazinger , the new dub is ok but the audio quality is to high for the animation so for some purist that grow with the original dub was a little letdown don't know how it was in Spain where Mazinger Is a religion

the USA dub of Doreamon is shockingly good even for its localization
eventually we find out that Noby is a Florida Man, in the panhandle, no less

Eat your dorayakis hamburgers, Nobita!

Surprised Doraemon is still on air even though the manga ended like way long ago.
USA dub only lasted long enough to distract Japanese execs, but even though they went hard in the paint localizing it for the USA, damn did they get the cast right voicewise
I think HD Doreamon is still going? Haven't check it in a while.

There were a couple attempts to license the show back in the day. Problem was it was too expensive, too Japanese, there were a number of gags that would never make it here... But then it happened and I think we're all the better for it. (I don't know if they still have licensed Doraemon dorayaki here, though.)

Time for weird shit.

The cover for Looking Up to Magical Girls is a lie; the MC is forcibly enlisted as a magical girl villain, her breasts are covered in pasties, and her speciality is BDSM magic because she is a closet sadist. Even so, she still wishes to engage with the magical girls she idolizes so very deeply, believing her role as a powerful villain will make their feats and struggles shine all the brighter.

An interesting (if bizarre and perverted) premise, but I don't think any other manga has pulled off what just happened in the most recent chapter, which I'll be dumping. NSFW, obviously:

So we're nearing the release of the Netflix Ghost in the Shell cgi movie

https://youtube.com/watch?v=5HK_l9NHBw4
It's kinda sad how this franchise has been repeatedly violated in weak attempts to capture the same magic as the 1995 movie

https://youtube.com/watch?v=RyGNp8nPwV0

Ghost in the Shell has gone through some rough patches, no doubt, but Stand Alone Complex is the best we've gotten, along with solid state society. I did enjoy Arise even though people found that to be heresy (but I really blame whoever thought putting like 4 or 5 movies and then trying to splice them into a TV show was a good idea).

The Netflix movie looks like pure unadulterated trash and Netflix constantly ruins anime with its shitty 3D styles. I tried to watch Gangster in an Insect Cage or some shit and it was unwatchable due to stiff, bad CGI.

Ooooooh I love magical girl parodies/play-ups. Having the main magical girl be a designated villain I think has been long over-due. I'll have to check this out.

Not the first BDSM magical girl thing I’ve heard of, but definitely the first one to go with this tone. Seems entertaining.

animation and framerate seems fine tho, at least they didn't fall for the "let's just cut it down to 10 frames for dat anime look and not even key it properly."
the style on the other hand... they didn't even try to go with fake 2d (which works pretty well these days with a bit of effort) but kept it overly obvious 3d making it look like a cheap kids cartoon. heck just a different shader would make a lot of difference, so it's not even that much extra work.

also that OP, wtf.

finally a reason to post this (I know it's CR but it was the easiest to link). I think it went a bit under the radar, completely missed it when it was airing.
