Alice From Hell is a fun manga about an antisocial autist in a Mad Max world with l33t 360 no-scope skillz booby-trapping an abandoned city he's taken up residence in in preparation for an invasion that may not ever happen. He also has a mentally retarded fuckbot because why not? Really unique artstyle too, would recommend checking it out. You never know exactly where it's going to go next.

Someone on /a/ posted the torrent for Promare. First link is 720p with Chinese subtitles, the second is raw (and therefore can have English subtitles added without issue), but is 32 fucking GB.

>the relevant thread is just endless thirstposting about Lio in a maid costume
I had a blast watching it. Say what you will about Trigger, but you can't get that kind of visual direction anywhere else.

Chainsawman lolz

I'm liking it, it took the 'Cell' concept and started running with it. Also the outro music is fucking amazing.
I already gave my thoughts on ID:Invaded, really looking forward to where it goes. I didn't realize it's anime-original, so that should mean the story will reach its conclusion at the end of the season. I love the layers of mysteries: Sakaido solving Kaeru's murder within the well, the team tracking down the actual serial killers, and the overarching plot about the identity of John Walker. Can't wait for more.

MIYAVI is always a great choice for OPs/EDs. They did the OP for Kokkoku, which was definitely the best one of its season (and another good short anime I'd recommend). I could listen to this song on repeat for hours:

My sister says Umaru is her spirit animal and yet she still hasn't watched a single episode. Hopefully I can change that.

So to troll the woke people that were shitting on Interspieces Reveiwers a big AniTuber named Nux Taku called on his audience to review bomb MAL's listing for the show. It's currently listed as the second highest rated anime of all time and is on pace to make it to number one in a matter of days.

Apparently it's caused a big shit storm with MAL staff. The funny thing is that there's a good chance the site doesn't have the moderation tools in place to actually deal with something like this. Nux seems a little exceptional but i'm looking forward to the salt that will come out of this

And where were you when One Punch Man and Pingu in the City got review bombed to the top ten? Lmao get fucked, MAL. You hate the userbase, just admit it.

Finally got around to watching some of the shows this season, so I decided to state some of my thoughts on some of them, though mostly just on those that haven't been much mentioned yet.

1. Easy Breezy is pretty good so far, but for some reason I can't get into it as much as I did Shirobako. I'm still digging it though.
2. Number 24 is surprisingly pretty fun., its a fujobait rugby series that while it doesn't have much rugby it does have a bunch of college dudes being bullied by the protagonist for 30 minutes straight. I'm not usually into these sorts of shows, but the protagonist carries it well.
3. Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu is an idol show from the pov of an absolute consoomer who sold all of her clothes other than her high school gym uniform and quit her job to work at a bread factory to support her idol. Its all rose colored and shiny too, in all honesty it just makes it funnier.
4. If you're watching Dorohedoro, they take out certain chapters and cut a few scenes, so I'd recommend checking the manga out afterwards.

I finished watching LoGH with my boyfriend a few months ago. Really enjoyed the show, I feel like this kind of animation for older audiences is really rare. Earth Cult plot was the only thing I disliked.
Unpopular opinion: I like Julian as a character, I disagree with him being "Gary Stu", just with his prim and proper personality he was not charismatic enough to be a main character on FPA side after Yangs death. And I'm suprised more people don't see Reinhards sociopathic tendencies like in final when he wanted Julian to "proof himself" again and again instead to just talk to him which resulted in bloodshed. And Schenkopf death. I won't forgive that.

I finally got to hear the full version of the Honda-san opening:

Also, the manga ended with 4 volumes.

I kinda want a second and final season, though.

The official Twitter account for the show announced on February 7th that the show had been cancelled on Tokyo MX. “The anime “Interspecies Reviewers” being broadcast on TOKYO MX has been canceled due to the organization of Tokyo Metropolitan Television.” (Translation: Twitter).

Using translation via Anime News Network, they claim that the messages cites “changes in the circumstances within Tokyo Metropolitan Television.” Crunchyroll translates it as “due to organizational reasons.”

In either case, it would seem to indicate unspecified changes within the broadcasting company. Reading between the lines, this may be a polite way of stating the broadcaster pulled the plug at their own discretion.

Anime News Network also reports the show will continue airing on AT-X, BS11, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV. Crunchy Roll also reports that the show’s timeslot on Tokyo MX has been replaced with a show about cruise ships.

This lead to Twitter users to quote the “Nice Boat” meme. In 2008, the final episode of School Days was cancelled from broadcast, due to comparisons to a recent murder. Instead, the channel broadcast scenery shots and music.

While users on message board 4Chan were confused and annoyed, one user reportedly quipped “Nice Boat” at the sight of a ferry. The meme reportedly managed to cross cultural barriers, and became popular in Japanese online culture.

For those unfamiliar with our prior coverage, Funimation announced they would no longer be streaming or dubbing the show, as it “falls outside of [their] standards.” This was after three episodes and been subtitled, and one episode had been dubbed. The show itself has many graphic depictions of sex and sexual content

Combining reports from Anime News Network and Crunchyroll, the show has also been pulled from Amazon Prime Video [1, 2], and the Nordic version of French streaming platform Wakanim.

Wakanim proper and Taiwanese streaming platform Bahamut’s Insane Animation have continued to broadcast the series, albeit censored. Bahamut’s Insane Animation do offer uncensored episodes behind an age-gate.

Curiously, Wakanim is owned by both Aniplex and Sony Pictures Television- along with Funimation after a merger in September 2019.

AnimeLab will also continue to stream the show, announcing there would however be a slight delay. “Attention, Interspecies Reviewers fans: we are currently delayed on episodes while we adjust our sourcing of materials,” AnimeLab stated in a Tweet. “But the show will go on at AnimeLab! Please bear with us as we get back up to speed.”

Seemingly in protest to the show being removed from various platforms, fans have now voted Interspecies Reviewers as the second greatest anime of all time on My Anime List. The show now has an aggregate rating of 9.16 from 53,149 users.

This places it above anime and films such as Steins;Gate, Hunter x Hunter, Your Name, Attack on Titan, and Gintama. The top stop is currently held by Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, with a rating of an aggregate rating of 9.22 from over 1 million users.

We will keep you informed as we learn more.

Somali and the Forest Spirit

This one is about a world where monsters of all shapes and sizes live peacefully among each other. The same cannot be said for humans, however - it was said that a long time ago, the two races came into contact, like two waves crashing into the same lane. While attempts were made to get along, tensions between the two races quickly escalated into a great conflict.

Humans lost the war almost immediately.

Humanity as a whole has been reduced to a distant memory to most monster folk. Human meat has become a delicacy, and what few settlements that had survived were wiped out in human hunts. And with this cheery backstory in mind, a small, disheveled human girl in chains enters the forest domain of a golem. Much to his confusion, she immediately latches onto him while calling him father. Now, the golem embarks on a grand journey beyond the confines of the forest with her by his side to find her family, not quite aware that he's becoming quite the parent himself.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm just an easy sucker for stories about parenthood. This one in particular gets bonus points because I can listen to Jotaro talk like an actual father for a change.

I completely, unironically, love this fucking show. It's just so genuinely...wholesome.

I am looking forward to it ripping my heart out by the end, and stomping it flat in front of me.

They're massive faggots, as usual.

Streisand effect in action. The more they try to bury the anime tiddies, the more people become aware of their existence. It's hilarious to me that people still don't get this very basic fact.

I started watching In/Spectre and Somali this week. Still have to catch up on them, but I'm really enjoying them so far. Somali gives me Ancient Magus' Bride vibes with the "big monster paired with cute anime girl in a fantastical world" premise, except father/daughter instead of husband/wife. Very beautiful artwork, and the fact that the golem is voiced by Jotaro is just icing on the cake. I'm just waiting for the inevitable heartbreak (also like Ancient Magus' Bride).

Side discussion: are there any other series that have made you emotional for any reason? After the Rain was one for me, a melancholy love story between a high school girl and her older washed-up boss. Sounds a little odd when I put it that way, but it was a really interesting and moving story to me. Kino's Journey is another (the original, I haven't seen the more recent anime), just a simple tale of a girl and her talking motorcycle traveling around and finding a lot of sad stories along the way.

I never thought Ushio and Tora would be an emotional rollercoaster, but the manga has a lot of bittersweet stories that I had to go lie down over for a breather. It's not afraid to drag characters through the mud while those same characters give each other shit for getting muddy in the first place. There's a lot of humor as well, which is why the last third of the manga hits as hard as it does.
