I usually just skim the myanimelist overview (not the reviews, just what type of show it is and the synopsis).

speaking of seasonal, heya camp should be watched just to make the urge for a full season that more painful (also dat ED).
At least there is the live action adaption that looks very comfy.

Been wanting to share Heart Gear with you guys.
k20190425_145006_2426.jpg

Gears are machines that have been given a "base program" upon activation, and will follow that directive for the rest of their lives, sometimes to even suicidal degrees. Others just break down and become insane AI that indiscriminately mow down anything in their path. Given that it's been many years since the humans responsible for creating them have wiped themselves out, there has been a lot of killer machines running amok.

...And yet, a single human girl now wanders the wasteland, accompanied by a mysterious combat android.

Anyone have even the slightest inkling as to when Goblin Crown will be available? Every site I look at just lists the February 1st premiere date without any info on an English release.

I was hoping we would get Shield Hero on bluray. Is it going to be licensed?

Not if it were up to ANN. But it isn't. Since it got Seasons 2 and 3 greenlit, I am assuming it will be.

Well, if you're waiting for a dub, you're going to be waiting awhile. As for subs, the instant its available I assume some translation group will snag it. I can't find any sources online for it, so it isn't out online yet.

Nah, I'm waiting for the sub. Hell, Goblin Slayer is simple enough that you'd probably be able to follow along even without subtitles.

"Goblins?"
"Over there."
[proceeds to kill the goblins]

This is basically a clickbait rag article, but there's at least a little bit of insight.
Funimation Allegedly Fired Ishuzoku Reviewers Translator Before Cancellation
After trying to quietly cancel the interspecies brothel reviewing anime Ishuzoku Reviewers, Funimation’s official forums (at least the parts that aren’t being silenced), have been abuzz with rumors and allegations regarding the staff of people that were working on the show before it got axed.
A user on the Funimation forums going by the nickname “ShortyGal1105” has alleged the American dubbing business fired one of the original translators of Ishuzoku Reviewers and made her sign a non-disclosure agreement before the show got removed from the streaming service:

When prompted for proof of this quite serious statement, the user replied they do not wish to reveal their sources in order to protect the people involved:

Though there is no actual official proof behind the user’s statement, this kind of action makes sense for Funimation considering the discreet way they tried to remove the series from their platform (to say nothing of their agenda in altering the dialogue of anime for their own purposes).

though at least 4kids was able to give us a pretty good TMNT incarnation, Mike Pollock as Eggman, and the GX dub, and years worth of laughs at how bad they were... What has Funimation given us

Funimation has given us good dubs in the past, most notably Fullmetal Alchemist.

SSSS Gridman is a remake of the series that was shown in the US before when it was known as "Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad".

Also every character in the series specifically references a Transformer character. The main hero's attire is based off of Cliffjumper for example.

The Neon genesis Junior Highschool students are all based off the movie Dinobots

The main antagonist is based off of a convention exclusive Evil Optimus Prime

and a ton of others

According to Sakamoto, the series director Akira Amemiya personally requested the following for Rikka Takarada’s design: “make her ass big and her thighs thicc.” Amemiya has previously worked as a key animator in shows such as Campione!, Haganai, DARLING in the FRANXX, and Medaka Box, so his love of asses and thighs doesn’t really come off as a surprise.

True men of culture, all of them.

Yup, I just read it and it's fucking awesome.

This bodes well for what will hopefully be a fruitful decade of revivals of 2000s era franchises like that.
Hopefully they’re better than most of the western cartoon revivals.
Ducktails came out well, though.

On the subject of 2000's revivals, I'm still holding out hope for a continuation of Haruhi Suzumiya since Disappearance, released a decade ago this month, as great as it was, ended where the novel ended and didn't even contain the conclusion to its own story arc (Kyon going back in time again to save himself from Ryoko Asakura), which is the first part of The Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya (the third book published after Disappearance but the next full-length novel in the series since Rampage and Wavering were short story compilations).

Considering the unfortunate situation with Kyoto Animation, I suppose any Haruhi Suzumiya continuation would likely have to be done at a different studio, quite possibly Satelight which produced the Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan spin off although I'd want the character designs to stick closer to those of the late Haruhi Suzumiya character designer and chief animatior Shoko Ikeda (real name Shoko Terawaki) especially for Kyon, whose Yuki-chan design, while close to the Yuki-chan manga, was a radical departure from the main series.

I still remember the Endless Eight fiasco. Might very well have been the most retarded moment in anime, when the director's head went full in into his ass from fart sniffing.
