Oh yeah, I remember this. The author is a scum who copy other:s works, words to words, from the same website he posted on since day 1. He is also a sockpuppeteer that makes his piece of copycat shit go to the top of the chart of that site.
After he went to the top, he got the comic adaption and this got publicized, but the comic couldn:t sell because no one really read it. Therefore, Katokawa, the only publisher that would pick up this flaming shit, begins to buy up the copy themself to push sells.
Do you have links to more info on this? I only found two Reddit threads that claimed it wasn't true.
I imagine it copies heavily from Shield Hero and that even edgier Shield Hero ripoff, but I doubt that's the start of it because it's not like Shield Hero was very original anyway.

While I'm still optimistic that corporations here still listen to the money, I'm really not sure if defiance against woke tards can continue, especially if more white trash SJWs realize Japs like licking white people feet.
Also, the coming olympics may enforce those "problematic" posters to be removed for "decency".

Hopefully those won't happen. And the greater Otaku base don't seem to care for SJWs, so if the shows began to pander to that demographic then expect those shows/manga to fail.

Not really furry if it's only tails and ears:

Seems like the perfect opportunity to post this:

This looks cute, not gonna lie.
The manga is popular for using animal trivia as the basis for its jokes. For example, one of the main characters is a koala girl, and her favorite food is... uh, fecal pap.
It can also be quite merciless to its cast, so it's best enjoyed by lovers of schadenfreude.
The LN artist is Shiokonbu.
Their doujins almost always have to have drugs involved...

Redo of a Healer
View attachment 1086340

its an isekai about a healer dude who, after becoming a sex slave drug addict by the hero's party, somehow gets the power to go back in time and decides to get revenge on all the people who wronged him. (After for some reason getting addicted to drugs and being a sex slave again). Got an anime announcement.

Tried reading it, its edgy shock schlock/10.

Gonna add that to my 'plan to watch' list.

Should I click those spoilers if I haven't seen past season 1?
Uh, it doesn’t really spoil anything that happens in the second season. Mainly just talking about a new character whose main goal in the second season is specified in the first few episodes iirc

Sidenote, did you guy watch the new madoka anime, it is pretty cool.

:thinking:Makes me wonder why this author decided to get work in the first place.

Any good dark comedy-ish magma and animoo?

I've watched and read Welcome to the NHK (both manga and novel)

I recently started reading Kurosagi (Black Swindler).

It's about a con man who only targets other con men. And it's really good.
It heavily focuses on the cons and how they work. Which is well researched and detailed without becoming tedious (they often feel a bit dated though).
That might make it sound kinda boring but it's executed really well with just enough drama to keep you hooked even if you're like me and don't have any special interest in the subject matter.

Eh, the character is like a late-arrival spoiler in that if you've seen anything related to Higurashi, you might have seen her around. She's kind of a twist character given who she is, but I don't think it gives much things away.

I was talking about the artist, specifically. The unhinged facial expressions is a specialty of theirs.

LN's are usually split between the author actually writing the book, and the artist drawing the cover plus five or so scenarios throughout; the latter typically isn't involved in the writing process. Many of them happen to also be well-known porn artists, such as Pochi of Ane Naru Mono fame (Okaa-san Online), Nanao (The Zashiki Warashi of Intellectual Village), Hima (Accel World), Hisasi (Netoge no Yome wa Onna no Ko Janai to Omotta), and more.

Occasionally you get some discrepancies between the two, which are always fun to point out.

I found it amusing for that reason, it felt like a fan fiction by a school shooter. So much 'too cool for school' edge. Then it pretends to have a story so I stopped reading it.

The new animal girl anime reminded me of one: Asobi Asobase. Which is about three girls not doing really anything. The jokes land and it doesn't devolve into the usual "character says obscene stuff" that the more adult Japanies comedies devolve into. Be warned that some character screaming will pierce your eardrum.

Check out Maria Holic and it's second season Maria Holic Alive.

It's a spoof of the shojo and yuri genres, but like all the best spoofs you don't have to actually be familiar with what it's spoofing to enjoy it.

It's also funnier now in light of the rise of transgenderism given the storyline involves a cross dressing character.

The original manga also infamously triggered an actual lesbian yuri manga reviewer, so you know it must have been doing something right.

I heard Strawberry Panic! is also a spoof, but I never caught on to what it was spoofing.

What's hilarious is not only is this review over a decade old and she gets as triggered as anyone gets triggered today, it's also proof how people like her simply do not understand the concept of comedy.

Yes the events of the series would be upsetting if you took them at face value.... which is why you don't take them at face value because... it's a comedy.

It's also hilarious that she calls Maria Holic anti-woman when the manga was created and written by a woman.

Seriously, Maria Holic is good shit that has only gotten funnier because today it seems like it's purposely trying to troll the Tumblr crowd, even though that's just a happy accident.
