Well, this was pretty anticlimactic, but better than Naruto's retarded ending.
I do like that the show goes out of its way to try and humanize the main cast, ironically for a show about animal people, like Kabae showing how good a mom she is and how that helps her train Anai. The later seasons get a little strangled by Retsuko and Haida's relationship woes but I don't hate it.Snip
I fucking love that song! Posting for posterity:Do it just for the glorious Hirasawa piece they use for the intro. I listen to that song so often it's unreal.
Yeah, i'm noticing that, too. While always slice-of-life, it's much more typically slice-of-life anime now than in its first two seasons but i'm still enjoying it a lot. Shit's just too cute and, as i said in my previous post, the voice acting is outstanding. Halfway through the 4th season now, i guess i'll finish the show tonight. The later seasons get a little strangled by Retsuko and Haida's relationship woes but I don't hate it.
Yuritroons need to be hounded down with the force of a thousand Nulees.Jesus Christ the official art for the Maho Precure sequel is pretty gay by Toei and Precure standards. I never thought they would but it does seriously make me wonder if they're actually going in that direction.

It looks to be a reanimation of several 86 movie scenes. They're going with a more realistic, detailed style, which is promising. If this leads to anything bigger, let's hope it's a kids' show like Armada/Cybertron with Brave series references rather than a more adult-oriented show like those Netflix/Machinima shows -- if it's the former, it will be great because it will just be cool, but if it's the latter, it will try too hard to look cool while introducing a poorly-written story and IDW-esque "character drama".
Also, another nuWataru trailer:

It comes out January 2025, and while I do like the artstyle, it seems Wataru is a social media influencer/gamer this time, which I'm ambivalent about. The new mecha look cool, so let's hope they have lots of mecha scenes this time -- that may automatically make this the best Wataru show yet. Also, it has le Brave stance:

Edit: Oh God, they're making Himiko a Vtumor. Let's hope this doesn't have full-on Lamune fanservice.

The trailer had characters from Armada and Animated, so it's probably going to be a big crossover short. If this leads into a full anime, I wonder if it will try to connect Armada, Animated, Prime, and G1 since Takara is so insistent on everything being one big continuity. Either way, let's hope we get some cool new JAM Project/Hideaki Takatori music out of it.Will it be like Masterforce, the one where humans can transform?
Animated is interesting because it supposedly takes place a good time after g1 which is why megatron is based on the unreleased "super megatron" that only appeared in comics/manga for years before finally getting and actual figure a few years ago. Armada and prime are both made to be reboots of/different takes on g1 which is where it's gonna get weird. I mean it's not the first time transformers have crossed timelines, but still that stuff is also generally relegated to comics/manga rather than animation.I wonder if it will try to connect Armada, Animated, Prime, and G1
It's been nineteen going on twenty years since Cybertron/Galaxy Force ended (I feel fucking old). About time Japan takes back the wheel and makes a good fucking show. Hopefully. It's official, Studio Trigger is making a Transformers anime:

Can't wait for October.Holy shit this sucks lol.
you are coping so hard right nowWell, this was pretty anticlimactic, but better than Naruto's retarded ending.
Yuji: I finally have the acknowledgment of my entire village. I no longer have to sit on that dumb swing alone. All my hard work and totally not genetics and god given powers made me into the man I am today. I will finally become Hokage!you are coping so hard right now

They edited out the non-binary Earthspark scene in Japan, but Trigger is sending chills down my spine. My biggest fear is that it will be tryhard and have goonified fembots (they're doing that in the new Skybound comics), if it doesn't have human characters rendered in a terrible, goonified art style.Bro, to anyone who even thinks that this transformers anime is gonna be cool, just remember that "non-binary" thing exists.![]()
