I only started checking it out because Twitter was having a shitfit over it and a friend was weirded out by the premise, so I had to relay things to him as I was reading and the two of us warmed up to it. I think the opening premise is a shit-test if you ask me. It's also kinda tongue-in-cheek in its presentation right out of the gate 'cause it's aware it's a weird concept, especially since the husband is still madly in love with his wife and he and their daughter have discussed that they'd be okay with him waiting for the girl to turn 18 so they could become a family again. Naturally, the wife is weirded out by it and calls them out on it.
Also there's a short chapter at the end of every volume that're literal flashbacks to when the two began dating, and they're such fucking dorks. It's a pretty brilliant thing to include.
My suggestion is you give it a chance. If it doesn't work for you within that first volume, that's fine, just know that Twitter and other likeminded ilk are going to jump to conclusions like they always do.
