The last JJK chapter was really good, it seems it's finally concluding the Sukuna fight, after over a year, and the manga soon after, as well.
I know a lot of people hate it because the story is fucking trash and the characters are all one note, but I really enjoy the fights and pacing. For a shounen that's more than enough to be entertaining.
All the side character are now out of commission, with only Yuji left, so there will be no more bullshit delaying the end.
My boy Yuji finally got a domain expansion! And it seems Sukuna is finally going to get fucked.

My theory is that Sukuna lost to the domain expansion offscreen (just like Gojo), and scene we see in the end is Sukuna back inside Yuji.
With the sure hit effect of the domain, a soul dismantle would be enough to sever Sukuna's soul from Megumi's body, but his soul had to go somewhere, so Yuji got it back, and now the conclusion will be a fight inside Yuji to see who can keep control of the body.
Having Sukuna be in the Yujikuna form, and both of them being healed of their damages really makes me think that's what happened.

So question for historical buffs here about Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi, what is the historical significance of Tokiyuki Houjou? Looking at Wikipedia he sounds like a literal historical Jobber.

is it just me or do a lot of manga creators get sentenced to jail for tax evasion? Like the writer for Log Horizon was sent to jail too, right? are they just failing to file their taxes?
wasn't there a recent change to tax declaration that caused some outright for possibly doxxing mangaka?
they might be cracking down on people who didn't pay attention or try to get out of it.

I don't wanna spoil, but while this series is very good with actual history of it all, it's also a historical fiction, written by a based autist.

This is massive spoiler, but if you haven't gotten what I meant, just look at these 2 pages from the recent chapter to prove my point.

Bit of a weird subject to write historical fiction about. Not really seeing the appeal. I dropped the anime after the first five minutes of the third episode which were isekai level of ass kissing for the protagonist.

I had no idea Uzumaki was getting an animu adaptation. Fucking sick. Seeing all this in motion is going to be a treat.

>>Lone MacReady II

Everything fantasy typically comes back to Tolkien in some way, but I think most japanese media creators don't follow him too much, and see Lodoss more as their fantasy brand "root", foundational as you said. I see countries, races, and even symbology from Lodoss that were 100% taken and used in things like Fire Emblem over the years. Dark Souls also took a lot from Lodoss, but I do feel as though FromSoft knows a bit more about Tolkienian Lore than your average japanese consumer.
Yeah, Lodoss started off as an adaptation of D&D (in a series of Replays published in a gaming magazine), eventually spawning the more-popular-in-japan-than-d&d TRPG Sword World, which became the core of so many japanese versions of western fantasy tropes. Pig orcs, dog kobolds, stuff like that. It would certainly be an interesting project to try and trace its lineage both backward, through the western media that inspired it, and forward, through the media inspired by it.

I do see a lot of complaining from supposed anime "fans" that makes me want to respond like so.

the filter is busted because they keep coming back and bitching about it instead of leaving. More creators need to pull aggressively anti-normie bullshit like Fujimoto. Fire off those rent-lowering shots so people don't have to hear dogshit zoomer opinions

If you want to see a real filter, nothing was as crazy blunt as A Sister is All You Need starting with this.

Its a fake out, fake anime and there is no needing for a sister. The actual show is about writing light novels and recommending real boardgames the author liked.

Is the new brain rot deer show actually good or is it just meme of the month?
