So because I was getting absolutely burnt out on internet shit, I knocked a anime off my "break glass" list. Never played the Nier games. Bro. I caught up in one night to the current cour. Holy shit, the story is fire, A-1 Pictures is on point in the animation department. I fucking get it. I watched dubbed first until I was forced to go sub. The VA's had a very "video game" feel to it. In all the best ways. It helped me blast through Cour 1. But my gosh, the sub is straight gold. A gem even. And a lot of them had hard jobs. Like 2B has the personality of a brick but also doesnt. The sub actor conveyed that really well. Though I liked the dub actor for 9S better. Anyway, i'm hyped, gonna play the game.

It does a nice job expanding upon the game in terms of both visuals and storytelling. I'm interested to see the second half, which apparently starts off right where shit hits the fan.

Second cour has been nuts. Rocks fall everybody dies is the best way I can describe it. And i'm here for it. It doesn't feel like a total edge fest, it feels like, holy shit. And the animation really sells it. They put in overtime, the kind that A-1 hasn't for a while now.

Spy X family still really good anime even though it's basically just a more elaborate form of missus and Mrs. Smith.

I really wanna like legends of the galactic empire but seriously it has some of the most unimaginative space battle scenes of any anime they're literally just driving straight at each other

awesome mobile suit Gundam has some of the most confusing continuity of any anime.

Also I do still think the saga of Tanya the evil is probably one of the better reincarnation animes because it doesn't try to be tray tanya's actions anything besides self-serving she doesn't really care about how her actions negatively impact people it does however show the other side of war how it impacts normal people's day-to-day lives in a negative fashion.
How overly confident bureaucrats can declare war without thinking about the overall consequences

I generally think jobless reincarnation has a good premise but the guy who wrote it is clearly a demented pervert so I really can't watch it

100 year quest really did Erza dirty

Edit nvm she's fine

Could someone explain to me what the fuck happens in Sengoku Youko that it's only been three months since the end of the previous season but everyone acts and looks like it's been 10 years? It's like everyone had a sudden growth spurt.

I actually liked it. Space battles are always done with over the top actions that makes little sense, so it's nice to have it be very static for a change and centred around two fleets positioning one against the other.
