Attack on Titan's second season is delayed until 2017; it's estimated to air in January. Read the linked entry for more information.

By the time the second season airs, it will have been nearly four years since the first season began airing. Damn, talk about a long wait.
I'm sure they wanted to wait long enough to get the rest of the manga chapters to work with.

That's actually fairly common in anime; they're called compilation movies. The upside is that there's usually new/updated animation and music.
This sort of thing has been around for over 40 years at this point. Japan really loves to simply port the best moments of a TV show to the big screen this way.

Is anyone even still really hyped for attack on titan anymore? I mean at some point the hype has to die out, right? Also what on earth is that season going to look like that it took them this long? Did they completely overhaul the writing? Or did they get struck with a host of development problems?

I guess the question is whether they're working towards making it look amazing, or if they're struggling to make it not-shit.
Well at least it'll come out a lot quicker than it took for the Trigun movie to come out.

I think it's made more progress than Haruhi ever did. :sigh: We'll never get to see a proper new season.

That's not so sure.

The cast of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series recorded new audio to advertise the upcomingHaruhi Suzumiya compilation album on Lantis Channel's YouTube channel. In the recording, which began streaming this Saturday, Aya Hirano (Haruhi) gushes about the SOS Brigade's "YouTube debut" and says, "We're planning to do lots of other fun stuff as the SOS Brigade this year, so make sure to check for news!"

The next novels are really good and would fit well the animated format so I want to see that happen.

Major changes are: koichi stand
Part 4 in the beginning (look below when everyone is posing)

The manga's monthly serialization and shit peace is to blame.

There wasn't enough content to make a sequel for like two years and by the time there was, it sucked.

I'm not sure if this exactly fits into this thread, but I recently got into visual novels again starting with Koichoco. I've been waiting for the English patch for awhile, but only got around to playing it now and I'm a little bit disappointed. They force you down you childhood friend's route right away and she made me so mad I just skipped her entire route so I could get to the other girls. Every other girl was pretty fun to read about and Aomi was the best girl as I expected the moment I played her route so yeah. Overall decent aside from the main girl triggering muh fee fees hard.

This shit is probably my second favorite OP in the JoJo shows aside from Battle Tendency's OP.

Shame for the non-CG and the lazy dancing part. I hope Part 4 second OP will be more like End of The World.
Yeah, I'm still weirded out by the lack of CGI in the opening as well.

I mean I get they're trying something different, but when the past three seasons have done it, it's probably for the best to keep tradition. Just sayin'.

I think the reason they went without it this time is that just because of the amount of characters present in part 4 it just wouldn't be efficient to create 3D models for them and they wanted everyone to be featured in some way. The models seem like they take quite a bit of time to create, what with how part 1's intro only features three actual 3D character models, part 2 is only two, 3D models, part 3 had one for each crusader and their Stand except for Iggy who was drawn in.

I like the intro with the dancing! It feels very.. 90s. Especially the number Hazamada's doing while getting shifted up the center of the screen.

It only goes downhill from here with censored JoJo names

Copyright is one thing, but this? Why the fuck would you change what is possibly the most generic stand name ever?

And the replacement name makes even less sense than any other one up to this point.

I think the saddest part is that even All-Star Battle kept Surface's name, and that was the game that changed Polnareff to "Eiffel" and pretty much gave us every censored name in the Crunchyroll subs

EDIT: Also just gotta put this out there, but the English release of J Stars Victory VS kept both Crazy Diamond and Santana's names

I will never get the mentality of Crunchyroll at all when it comes to the show's subs.

Or just the name replacements in general. I get it's copyright, but a lot of the changes are either stupid, pointless or both (usually the last one).

From the moment I started watching My Hero Academia I always thought the best possible English dub voice for All Might would be Christopher Sabat. Lo and behold, the dub's already two episodes in and Sabat's the All Might I knew he could be and more.

So I got back from seeing Belladonna of Sadness.

Holy fuck.

I was clapping at the end, it is that good. I can hardly describe it. If it ever comes to your area - go see it. You will never forget it.

The orgy sequence in particular - wow. The imagery. The penises that turn into giraffe heads. The vaginas that start spewing fishes. This probably makes no sense to you. This is why you have to go see it.

I'm glad!

It's not coming to my town though. I never get anything good anymore.

Yes, please do!

I actually felt like I was stoned during the film.

I went with a friend, who was equally as gobsmacked by it, and I asked him what it would be like to watch this stoned. We both agreed you'd be screaming your head off by the time you saw a woman ripped in half with bats coming out of her.

Most people complain about how the anime isn't portraying how it was in the manga. Especially with the edit of Eren's powers.
