I was watching technolyze for the fist time about 2 months ago but I had to stop by episode 20 because it was simply too damn depressing, It was really week made and entertaining but fuck me is it relentlessly dreary and grimdark, I’m thinking of going back to the series but I don’t know if the entertainment will outweigh the emotional costs, does it at least have a bittersweet ending?
Texhnolyze is a really weird series in my mind, not just because of the subject matter, but that overall I think it has a very positive ending for the MC even with what happens. If I was to compare it to anything it'd be like Bladerunner 2049 with K's character (and fate).
At first I also saw it as a very downer ending, but having sat to think about the series after a while I think how Ichise went out was probably with a feeling of contentness for the first time since the series started. For most of the series he simply follows what other people tell him to do, never really having a 'purpose' to serve or really making his own choices (he kinda just wanders around to hear people talk about their own philosophies). In the end he decided what he was going to do and went out on his own terms not by anyone elses. None of the deep psychological discussions on the meaning of life meant anything to him nor does the fate of humanity as a whole really matter either, but him finding his own 'way' as it were. I mean he even dies with a faint smile on his face after 'accomplishing' his goal, he had found his own purpose and meaning at his death. He wasn't just some rabid dog looking for a place to die.
Will say it has been quite a while since I've seen the series so some of it is based on my poor memory. I'd say the ending overall might seem bittersweet or downright sad for the audience, but for Ichise himself it's probably the best ending for him. Think this fits the ending perfectly and I'm sad no one has tried syncing them up like they did with Bladerunner 2049:

You know that moment when you’re trying to question why you keep thinking about tomboys instead of Komi in anime?

This is why.

I've just been reminded by Arkada that it has been fifteen years since we got the beauty that is quality cabbage, and an even crueler reminder that younger anime fans don't even know a single thing about it.

I mean, you literally get Rengoku from Demon Slayer, as tanned, redhead, tomboy just in last episode:

I don't like the kind of description or comparison like X is Y from Something Something but with Z. Just me with the whole "Far Cry 3 is Skyrim with Guns" or "It's OW copy characters in X game".
But Rengoku isn't the one or the first with fiery hairstyle. Mostly I wonder how many people nowadays remember or know about Shura from Blue Exorcist to get her some comparison.

Probably not good for current days internet due to her outfit choice.
I've been watching Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga

I really loved the Sengoku Basara and Warriors Orochi games, now I'm just watching old warring states guys being reincarnated as dogs. Except Masamune Date, he's a squirrel.
Saying you love Sengoku thing, but somehow you mistaken between Masamune Date and Mitsuhide Akechi. Such disgraceful, go commit a sudoku or something.

Masamune had an eyepatch in his previous life so he's literally this dog.

Should have posted an out of context in that anime, spoiler because haram content.

Yeah, something wrong with that girl neck

This is what it actually looks like, Oda Nobunaga reincarnates as a dog now, so the girls are actually smelling his paws.

Its been years since I read her backstory so I've forgotten the specifics, but her outfit would probably be the least of people's problems.

Trailer for animation of Bleach's final arc has been released with a release date.

Edit: Apparently it's pre-animated and isn't what the series will look like. Still cool looking.

You just reminded me that we'll probably never get Blue Exorcist S3 & how much I hate Shiemi (Polka-brows is the superior girl).

Something tells me he is the worst of the cast. Why can't people just admit that he's gay and call it a day instead of the entire "he/she" labelling. He isn't Hideyoshi that's for sure, and seems an even less interesting version of him.

She was in Binbougami ga! as well:

So Nadeshiko is basically Akira Kogami from Lucky Star except in a much shorter segment?

That shocks me more than finding out she passed away back in March.

I think, in Japan, deaths are considered private and not on the public record so a celebrity's death can remain a secret until there's an official announcement or someone leaks the information. I remember it was a bit of a scandal at first with a news agency releasing the full list of everyone who was killed at Kyoto Animation in July 2019 (and it took a month or so for such a list to appear).

So I don’t know what’s going on, but apparently there was a JoJo Jolyne one-shot and Twitter is pissed at the artist because of the art style or something, to the point of sending death threats and such.

This is the JoJo manga that came out yesterday, it's kino by all means.

The one you're talking about is probably the Jolyne one-shot drawn by the guy who made Kemono Jihen. It's coming out today in English, unofficially offcourse. I didn't knew there were death threats tho, that's new to me.
