Rewatching Hajime no Ippo, the 4chan image is slowly becoming more and more real but everything else is more than good enough to make up for the overwhelming amounts of fighting spirit and oxygenated muscles. I could watch the Kamogawa gym members fucking around for the rest of my life, they're really entertaining.

Sentai has released Girls Und Panzer Das Finale 1 with an english voice cast. Most of the original cast is back except for the student council and orange pekoe. haven't heard it yet so i'm hoping it's not too different.

>incredible low quality video
>still has the subs
>Windows Movie Maker tier transition effects
>most of the amv being clips with little sync to the music

That is some vintage amv right there, almost makes me feel nostalgic in its awfulness. There were still pretty well done amv back then, like this one came out a year earlier:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=VyVONYS2wRkIt's just for some reason many of the early amv all had the same 'feel' to them, outside the ones people did for amv contests. Even then, old amv were where I got most of my anime recommendations from.

Think the amv I've seen with the most views is this one for the movie Hotarubi no Mori e. Quick warning that it basically spoils the whole movie.

When the new Fruits Basket anime came out, my one relative wouldn't stop sending me really fucking old and bad AMVs of the old anime because they thought it was funny and made them nostalgic, they also made fun of me because I helped create the genre of bad Naruto Linkin Park AMVs.
Throwback to some legendary yet cringe videos tho (In glorious mid-2000's video quality):
If you were an omega gaylord who watched anime on youtube in parts when you were young then you already know Skittles because it popped up in the recommended section of every single anime video on the fucking website, that fucking thumbnail nagged at you for months before you finally decided to click the god damn video and what you saw looked like magic for it's time. Anime culture on Youtube has declined but maybe that's a good thing, imagine if everybody could wield the immense power of the anime AMV made in something other than windows movie maker. That kind of power can never fall into the wrong hands but somebody needs to fucking bring it back.

Man, that amv brought back so much nostalgia. Made me remember the other ancient Haruhi amv from back in the day, didn't think it'd still exist on youtube:
From back in the days when Fujos were more benign then whatever you'd call the new breed of aggressive shippers.

Thinking about old amvs reminds me of the massive anime mashup ones that I always found so impressive:

Still remember the hubbub when this one first came out with the sheer level of anime included along with matching up scenes. Always looked forward to seeing them put it out each year and was sad to see them stop back in 2015:

we talking about AMV? in that case, let me post the very first AMV i watched.

used to be a big dragonball fan and the Z anime never officially aired her so it was hard to find the stuff on the early days of the internet. found this one by trying to download DBZ porn out of Bearshare.

here is also another one

yes, DBZ AMV got me into linkin park.

That Vegeta one is the first amv I ever saw too.

And speaking of a classic:

Are we posting old AMVs now? Okay. Think these are the oldest I can find (that I can remember) from my likes.

Also can I count this?

Adding to the pile:
Though most of the classics I know are from 2010/2011 since that's when channels like TheBestAMVsOfAllTime started showing up and made it easier to find the good stuff:
Remember when any dance related amv made use of the opening for the second season of Rosario Vampire? Same thing with those dancing Yoko shorts.
Are you SURE fat chicks in Naruto headbands tackling male cosplayers or beating them with yaoi paddles as they search for their favorite dub VA to sign their art of Sasuke fucking a pregnant Naruto is "more benign?"
If I compare it to some of the shit posted in the shipper thread here than yeah, at least there wasn't as easy an access to social media back then.

And Twitter did seethe.
