My parents cared more about me watching Adventure Time or Regular Show than they ever did Pokemon for reference. Pokemon was clean as fuck. It just was that Pokemon was I guess spooky. Or something. My parents didn't care, so i never had issues with it.
Yeah, my parents were a little more concerned by Ren & Stumpy in terms of crude or suggestive content.

Watching Ghost Stories for spooky month. This feels like a show you watch while drunk or high. The meme compilations don't do it justice.
Funny, I was considering giving that a go too.

Anybody watch The Ossan Newbie Adventurer? It's really good and pretty funny, but there's this suspicious amount of black characters in it, just casually. It's very unusual for an anime to have this many.

It's really funny, just realize it's a abridged series with a budget. They give up on the plot half way.
Yeah, I heard about it before, I just wonder if the comedy holds up.

Coincidentally I was rewatching it this last weekend too. Its a show that hits right. Early 2000's humor when being edgy was still allowed and despite never seeing the show when I was younger, the OP and ED have the same quality as anime I grew up on, makes me feel real nostalgic.

It's the 20th anniversary of SEED Destiny today! Hopefully 20 years on, it will have a much better reputation, because it certainly deserves it -- it's visually a Brave series and has some of the most interesting stories and characters in Gundam. Tobe Freedom!

Funny story. Seed Destiny was the first Gundam series I saw and I was not aware that Seed was a thing. Quite the experience...

Shin was a gigantic insuferably whiny faggot, Ahtrun was an incredibly undecisive faggot and Cagalli was an incredibly useless bitch.

I'm still watching cause the openings are a banger and I wanted to see giant robots fucking each other up but half the dialogue was just random moon runes. Then Kira with robo Jesus and Lacus come out of nowhere and literally steal the rest of the series.

Then I discovered Seed and saw it, which made it make alot more sense and once I saw original Gundam and Z I noticed how much of a pathetic bitch Athrun was compared to Char/Quatro and how many beats it was clumsily trying to ape from the original timeline.

Have never rewatched and I have it filed as "entertaining mess" in my memories.

Lately I've been wondering what it would be like if we had a CE Engage where Kira and the Archangel are destroyed in episode 34, Durandal wins, SEED Freedom is about Durandal vs Accords, the Accords defeat Durandal with their mind control tricks, and the Accords maintain their rule by putting all dissidents under mind control until, thanks to planetary expansion, they can't hold control over everyone and a group of deep space explorers, freed from mind control, find the Turn-X and use it to defeat the Accords.

It's the birthday of this VA

I can't believe Haruhi Suzumiya isn't the first character mentioned for Aya Hirano's birthday, especially considering that Haruhi Suzumiya's official birthday is also October 8th (probably not a coincidence but I don't know that for sure).
