Apparently Chibi Reviews is struggling or something irl.
He posted one of the racier panels from Dandadan wondering how or if it would be adapted and how it would go over. A bunch of insane people decided to start harassing him over this, crossing over to targeting him in real life, doing such things as fucking with his family and threatening to urinate on his brother's grave. One sick lunatic attempted to plant CP on his social media. Said individual just got raided by the feds.
That's my understanding of the whole affair based on what I've seen.

God people are insane? And what panel was he even talking about? The Momo abduction I'd say is the raciest by far.

I think it's the one where after getting out of some sort of paranormal parallel dimension the two protagonists are transported back to their school's hallway in the middle of the schoolday, in front of dozens of fellow students, naked and half naked respectively.

Halloween is old style comic book shtick similar to "I am Groot" being an entire language. Not groundbreaking but always fun as a concept.
That’s what I was thinking until shit got real with Santa.

One of my favorite panels, I love the idea of infinite knowledge being how something ends you.
congratulations, you've been chainsaw man'd
it is such a fucking surreal look at the state of modern life, isn't it?
Chainsaw Man is surreal, but man Fire Punch is just indescribable.

It was both actually. He also was messing with the boruto fans, and that somehow got the Sharty involved. Shit is mental.

That's some amazing pearl clutching
I do not understand your post. Are you talking about me or what happened? This is my personal understanding of the situation. He kicked a hornets nest from what it sounds like and it stung him.

Edit: you meant them. Yeah getting angry over Dandadan was stupid. I also don't understand what happened with boruto, other than niggers were involved and trashing him on twitter and responsible partially for the Dox.

This is an actual anime screencap. Man, 2000s anime was wild

You're telling me. What was lost in the transition from hand-painted cels to completely digital animation was usually made up for by anime being very vibrantly colored and energetically animated. With the saved budget and time there was a bump in the sheer variety of shows on offer, and I'd argue that the 2000s was the last notable age for OVA series. This was also before CGI became a bad crutch that ruined both fight scenes and backgrounds (streets filled with fake CGI people and cars etc). While I prefer 90s for the visuals and some of my favorite shows, the 00s had some very aesthetically pleasing characters and a lot of creativity on display.

Before 08' gimped an already floundering nip economy and set us on the long road to anemic animu.

There were some really interesting shows in the 2000s: Argento Soma, Geneshaft, Gravion, King Gainer, Mars Daybreak, Last Exile, Fafner, Aquarion, Gun x Sword, FLAG, STRAIN, Glass Fleet, Olynssis, Reideen 2007, ICE, Kiss Dum, Heroic Age, Gigantic Formula, Tytania, Viper's Creed, and of course all the reboots like Gaiking LODM and Dancouga Nova. Even not-so-great shows like Eureka Seven had good designs, which is also something you can say about the OVA era. It really feels like many of the 2000s TV shows were extended OVAs (which is literally the case for Gravion), so I'm able to appreciate them a lot. The only 2010s shows I can think of that felt as original as 2000s shows are Nobunaga the Fool, Active Raid, Aquarion Logos, G-Reco, and the Yamato reboots.

Thinking about this finale. It is one of the best final Episodes in anime, giving both hype/hope/complete despair in the same episode. It is so fucking great. i really love Imagawa.

The people who were after him, from what I've seen are either zoomer "anime fans" who freak out whenever they see anything they deem "problematic" or "provocative" and start ranting about how anything even the slightest bit racy is "mf Epstein shit" and Japan is Pedophile Island and certain DanDanDan "fans" who claimed that by pointing out actual panels from the manga they are supposedly readers of, that was going to make "normies" think Dandandan was weird pervert material and by extension reflect negatively on them, i.e. weirdly defensive fans who are seemingly ashamed to enjoy certain titles. I saw a lot of posts from the latter types who were wringing their hands over it: :This is making us look bad! Dandandan's not that weird, I promise! Please GenericAnimeGuys, you blue checkmark e-celebs with copy-pasted opinions, please don't think it's weird! Your approval is everything to us true fans!" You also saw the people flipping out and hastening to assure people that “it stops being weird after-“, so they obviously do feel guilty for liking it. It’s so abundantly clear these "fans" of it are the most angry over the fact everyone knows they like a show with racy material in it, and worry some idiot online will call them a "mf Epstein gooner" over it.

IIRC that scene involves Momo, Aira, and Okrun, and they're all only half-naked. Doesn't really matter.

People are so weird about Dandadan's "fanservice" if you can even call it that. Its not like after Momo's abduction the fanservice is played particularly tantalizing. Also as the character's get better at using their powers, I appreciate details like Acro-Silkie holding her skirt down while she fucks people up because she's learned from experience if she doesn't she'll be flashing everyone.

Also also, lets be honest, Jiji is the most Fanservice'd character. The dude literally can't keep his clothes on and he's built as fuck.

Dandadan does not read like normal manga. It reads like someone got really fucking high, watched ancient ailens for 72 hours straight, and started writing a story based off his coked out hallucinations. The "fanservice" is tame and when it does happen it either serves the plot or is goofy. Or its just Jiji being buff. In any case, a slop isekai would be better fanservice than Dandadan in terms of raw booba on screen.
