I also seem to recall one of the original writers being gay, and another being a woman, which is also quite progressive of Roddenberry. They didn't try this though because like Sony they didn't want to get dicked by the audience leaving in rage. Difference being that TOS was 60s, and even TNG, which was where the idea took root, was 80s. It wasn't going to happen because at the time the LGBT groups were ostracized heavily. Tolerance really didn't begin to spring up until the 90's or so, and it still took another decade for it to become far less of a big deal. In short; it would've killed Star Trek to actually go that far.

Fun fact: Shatner was such a raging asshole at the time that he was the only person on the set who didn't know Takei was gay, because everyone went out of their way not to tell him.

Doug's never been one to look at the facts. And the facts he does prattle on about are either very clearly sensationalized or shit everyone's already known.

Then again, Doug was never too good with the fiction aspect either, so him fucking up facts isn't a stretch in the slightest.

…How are you on Channel Awesome? This is so against the morals of the people I’ve come to love on this site. It’s demeaning, cruel, and without substance or real evidence of argument. You add nothing to this conversation that Men Right’s bros on Youtube haven’t done already in similar whiny tones. It’s insulting and yeah, kinda sexist, but more importantly, dumb. Yes that's only Rantasmo, although Lindsay did appear in his latest video, where they sperg and obsess over how Disney movies are now spouting their politics so therefore they're "good".

Doug and friends recruited the wrong demographic to get money from. They should've ditched the tards rather than cater to them, since they'd still get them anyway (by hatewatching) and still keep the kids to boot.

This is CA we're talking about here. Morals are practically skewered every day. Regardless of whether they make sense or not.

Still, the fans are fucking dumb if they think that the people that gave them Demo Reel and To Boldly Flee are sullying their "good" names by doing this.
 
Seeing how Doug felt the need to do yet another slipshod review based on something controversial like Ghostbusters, I'm gonna call it now and say that Suicide Squad is just around the corner.

Not that I can see, but there is Johnny Test (because that hasn't been overused before...) and Caillou. And Brothers Grunt (which was made by the EE&E creator, so close enough, I s'ppose).
