Doug hopping the bandwagon of Pokemon. Doug's opinion about Pokemon is like, so important you guys

https://youtube.com/watch?v=cDRrWmOt5Kk
you gotta love how they defend Ninja Turles and Transformers even though they have the same shit as Pokemon.

One thing I can't stand is when Rob does that "whiny voice" when he imitates someone. He just sounds so pretentious.
Doug stop. You know about as well as anyone that you didn't grow up with this shit. So why try this again?

"It wasn't as good as the soulless corporate schlock I liked as a babby reeee-" ~ The Walker Bros

Pokemon is just as out there and ridiculous as something like TMNT or Transformers. They're in the same field. You would think that the Walkers would understand the craze a bit more since they have no problem sperging about those other shows.

And it's funny since the moment somebody criticizes the things they love they throw a massive bitchfit about it (see Doug and his 4-5 videos where he white knights Frozen).

The stupid that comes out of these twos mouths is fucking astonishing.

Because sentient cars from another planet makes sense compared to a bunch of kids going on an adventure, right?

EDIT: In the preview image Doug looks like 60...
Their shirts make me ashamed to be a fan of both Bob's Burgers and Rick & Morty.

Not to mention the kids are using things like stone aardvarks, sentient magnets, dragons, bats and electric mice to fight with.

Seriously, how is that any less weird as alien robots that turn into cars or mutated turtles living in the New York sewer system? Or hell, a giant vortex that causes disruptions ala movie continuity errors granted sapience with the spirit of the least-useful Planeteer? What would you call that, Doug?

"...we were all at a convention recently and we were staying in one suite."

Lol, should've made a kickstarter for some more rooms, cheap asses.

This is because Doug is at heart a sad grandpa who has been out of touch with pop culture since 1985.

To be fair, Doug HAS mentioned the silliness of those properties plenty of times in the past (for example, the end of his Pokemon movie review). If anything, he's been too hard on TMNT, to the point of overlooking the depth of their original comic books, but that's another story.

In any case, Doug recently put up a video of his favorite anime films:

All this talk about that Jones/Walker collaboration made me truly realize about how awkward it must be to be a member of CA.

Cinemassacre for example, you can tell Rolfe, Matei and Kyle Justin (read: guitar guy) and anybody else involved are actually friends IRL and you can see that they have some actual chemistry.

CA on the other hand is a crowd of people that are plucked from the interwebs and are thus likely many many miles away from one another. There's nothing that really indicates that these people even like each other once the cameras stop rolling. The most contact these people have with one another are comments on blog posts and Skype calls.

Massive Power Level, they both live in Illinois: Doug lives in the Chicago suburbs, and Brad lives in Springfield (a few hours drive, and I'm pretty sure there's a train as well), so at least they can physically met and collaborate. It's a lot easier than Kickassia; the stuff that involves all of the "producers" since they are all over the country.

I think Jesus Bro is Brad's baby. Brad has done films before as well with his friends. He doesn't need to necessarily involve the perpetually balding overlord that is Doug Walker and his little crew, but I can understand why he'd want to (bigger audience, wants to make Doug feel good, or honestly likes his company).

Also... (it's been a while since I've been on this thread....) someone mentioned a few pages back about how Doug is afraid to try to make/write a movie the Hollywood way because the studios will interfere... If you guys like I can post about how that's sort of right and sort of isn't later in the day (I'm beat!).

Please do when you can. I only recall a throwaway line from a commentary. Some elaboration would be interesting.

It looks like shit. It feels like shit. I'm gonna hate it. Hey, let's tear apart a cash grab and grab some cash/views. Fuck you, Activision. Till next game.

All of this guy's videos are starting to look the same tbh- you gotta love how he ends each video with an eulogy praising Steven Adventure Falls too.

Also, I thought in general the last Scooby Doo show was thought to be good? I heard many had a positive reception to it. and i didn't think the Garfield show was too bad...ok the CGI was cheap and it was kinda bland, but bland/forgettable > loud/annoying imo.

Oh lord, the points he makes for Extreme Ghostbusters and AoSTH are so fucking bad, I had to keep saying to the video "No, you're wrong and here's why." constantly. He gets his facts wrong and doesn't realize that the latter's not even a reboot, just an adaptation. Then he has the gall to compare it to the nadir of the franchise next to '06 and call Underground good (acceptable animation and original story my ass, to say nothing about his remark on the music). And that's before getting into the EGB entry and the errors it made. Sad thing is, he's got good points for stuff like Neo-PPG, Loonatics, Garfield show and Yo Yogi!, but everything else? It just feels like he's just venting and going "OMG THIS SHOW SUCKS BECAUSE I HATE IT!"

I swear, while Strider's got a less annoying voice than Enter. Even I can admit that as bad as Enter is, he is improving, and is nowhere near as bad as Strider's been getting.

I apologize for going all :autism: just now, but good god is this list dumb as fuck.

How sad that the only positives Strider has that Enter doesn't is "He has a more tolerable voice" and "At least it's not edited on Movie Maker"? Damned by faint praise, indeed.

Oh kaloo kalay, next week is nu-Ghostbusters as told through one of Doug's clipless reviews. The autism will be great:
