The only online critic I've been able to watch for a long time is Yahtzee. I haven't played 90% of the games he reviews (casual PC gamer here), so I obviously can't see any lazy mistakes he makes about content, but entertainment value aside I always got the feeling that he really was giving you his opinion and had reasons for said opinion--even when it goes against what's expected from him. And he clearly cares about what he's doing, which I have to give props for. He's probably an unlikeable douche IRL, but I think he's a decent critic.
I used to really like some of CA's stuff, especially the Nostalgia Critic, but the schtick wore out fast. Now I only really watch Todd in the Shadows, and even that's starting to get old for me. I get the feeling Todd would've been better off not getting mixed up with Channel Awesome.
That's what happens when you become a feminist. CA is full of the worst fake feminists.Yeah, Todd getting with Lindsay (the Nostalgia Chick) really ruined him as a person.

Well, it's just Linkara and Tony Goldmark (Some Jerk With A Camera) on CA who are really fake feminists there now. Todd's just doing one and the others left for Lindsay's site, Chez Apocalypse.
People have mentioned Ashens and Yahtzee. Skating the line on the word "critic" but I like JeremyJahns, Spill.Com, YuriOfWind, and ProJared.are there any internet critics who actually seem like they're enjoying themselves most of the time? i'm burned out on misery parades
all i can think of are the flophouse and obscurus lupa. she's not super funny but at least her videos are cheerful
Speaking of Chez Apocalypse, there is always Dan Olsen, also known as PedoDan. The guy who tried to frame 8chan as a pedosite. And then he wrote an article about it. The thing is, is that he didn't contact the police about he was going to write this.Well, it's just Linkara and Tony Goldmark (Some Jerk With A Camera) on CA who are really fake feminists there now. RedLetterMedia are pretty amazing and are far far better than any other film critics on the internet, their show Best of the Worst is a real blast and they have a lot of fun. Ashens and Yahtzee are very good. Razorfist is also a very good if you like Yahtzee, plus his takedown of MovieBob is pretty awesome. I would say JewWario did, he reviewed games he had a real passion for and didn't sell out like a lot of other internet people do, so if you have an interest in imported/Japanese games he's a good bet. Spoony used to in his early days but then he sucked in 2010/2011.are there any internet critics who actually seem like they're enjoying themselves most of the time? i'm burned out on misery parades
I just watched the Razorfist video and saw comments from Sargon of Akkad(who also destroyed MovieBob) , Lyle McDouchebag, and TotalBiscuit. Nice to see these three random people come together on something.RedLetterMedia are pretty amazing and are far far better than any other film critics on the internet, their show Best of the Worst is a real blast and they have a lot of fun. Everything was brought together by their dislike of Moviebob. What a time to be alive!I just watched the Razorfist video and saw comments from Sargon of Akkad(who also destroyed MovieBob) , Lyle McDouchebag, and TotalBiscuit. Nice to see these three random people come together on something.
You do know he's virtually the only one from CA, past or present, with a real job, right? One that involves these abilities he's apparently not utilizing. Apparently it's quite a good job, too (don't remember the official title). While also taking care of his crazy alcoholic mother. Please, LordKat is passionate about nothing. Every time I hear him rant about the lack of leadership, innovation or passion at Channel Awesome, I can't help but think about Jason's failings as a producer on his own site. He talks a huge game about his background as a programmer but ultimately does nothing with it; he hasn't updated his website since he made it, claims to have made it deliberately mediocre because he's afraid of someone stealing a unique design if he ever made it (because paying $50.00 to copyright his site design is so hard). He uses TGWTG as his tugboat every time he needs a small boost for his ad revenue.
He's literally the only person from Channel Awesome that could accomplish anything substantial and he does nothing with it. He could make a fucking video game & publish it on Steam if he wanted but he wouldn't because he's comfortable being a loser.

He talked about it in a LordKat Live show. I don't remember which one, just that it was one where he talked about CA drama (which is why I checked it out). What I'm trying to say is that it'd be nice if you could show us.
I know there's a couple of LordKat Lives and on his Twitter he has mentioned having a job. This is implying that he wasn't already a shitty fucking person.
Never heard of this job he apparently has; the one year I followed him, he made a big deal about how Blip made fuck-all for ad revenue compared to Twitch and that the only reason why he continued using it was because of the free MP3 downloads they provided, apparently.
What I'm trying to say is that it'd be nice if you could show us.
I don't think it was Magfest, I think it was his own convention. Also, if not wholly related, I remember him talking a lot during the game show fiasco about how he could've used the money for MagFest*. It implied he was in a management position there.
*I have no idea if he is part of MagFest or what he meant with that.
Guru Larry still seems sane. MatPat, AKA The Game Theorists, is still enjoyable to watch although he is not really a reviewer.are there any internet critics who actually seem like they're enjoying themselves most of the time? i'm burned out on misery parades
