tbh how would she even get a job after that. Has she ever even /had/ a job?

In as long as I've followed her I don't remember any actual paid employment. She was a volunteer where her ex girlfriend worked. She will never get a job. If her youtube money has been removed and Becky did leave she would be fucked. Completely fucked. She'd have to move in with her mother and get disability.
She used to work at SourceHov with Destiny and Dana but she got fired for spending too much time in the bathroom.

I think fat people running afoul of the eating disorder glorification rule by doing mukbangs is a slippery slope. Not all obese people have binge eating disorders, some just have shit diets and dead metabolisms from lack of activity. I don't think becky is a binge eater, nor destiny or dana. They're just obese slobs. Yes, Amber and Chantal have admitted to having BED, but the definition of what classifies as a binge on camera is going to be hard to nail down. Thin and average people do mukbangs as well (sorry, that sounded like an ALR line), and though I'm not an expert on the mukbangs, it seems characterized by eating (or appearing to eat) massive quantities of food. The can't have one rule for normal sized people eating a ton, and another for obese people. I think it *might* raise a legal argument if they use the rationale that ALL obese people eating on camera are suffering from binge eating disorder. If someone is obese, they didn't get that way from eating reasonable quantities of food in a sitting, but that doesn't make it a binge.

It gets even more complicated if an obese person is a food reviewer (I don't know what that category is technically called), and they go to a state fair and hit up every food booth, including the butter-fried butter booth. That would be, collectively, a massive amount of food, and I would consider that seriously disordered eating, but it's not a binge or disordered eating in the clinical sense.

There's a good case for someone like Nikocado getting striked for glorifying disordered eating in his quest to gain extreme amounts of weight. Meanwhile, amber and chantal are just gross.

Amber is a compulsive spender, but nobody is going to classify her hauls as glorifying a shopping addiction, even though it is, because hauls are a normal category.

I don't know what's causing amber and chantal's monetization issues, but I doubt it's a fat person eating thing.
If she is indeed suffering from “limited monetization” or whatever, I doubt it’s because of eating issues either. It’s more that ALR and Chantal are “problematic”. Both of them have mostly hate viewers or at least viewers who just want to see the train wreck. This isn’t something advertisers are going to like being associated with (and apparently Coldest is even stepping back from this?).

If YT is feeling some heat from their advertisers, people like this would be the first to go. Amber Reia might think she’s queen of the internet, but they will cut her off at her non-existent knees if they so much as lost a dollar because of her.

I wonder how much she’s actually made over the course of her YouTube career. I know we can get estimates but I’d love it if one day someone revealed the hard numbers. Be very interesting to know how much she ‘could’ have saved for this rainy day that is now upon her.

I would love to know how much of it she spent on food. She doesn't have anything nice; a nine year-old little Hyundai, a small apartment, trashy jewelry. Nothing of substance or value. I know she said she had enough saved for bariatric surgery, but I wonder how much she has put away for that. Considering how her weight shot up once the money started rolling in, I'd say most of it went straight to her stomach.

I’d be interested in seeing the sheer amount, since it’s not like she spends big bucks on expensive but rationally portioned food. A normal person can get a full stomach at McDonald’s for $3, but in Amberland? I want to know how many trips she makes in a day and how much she’s scarfing down each time ‘cause I can guarantee that’s where her expenses are draining to.

Amazing how she always tries to keep up this image of wealth and financial freedom considering we all know she’s trailer trash

I'm dying at the fact that in the beginning of the month she spent probably the equivalent of her months rent on Halloween decorations for her apartment and before the month is even over shes probably really close to not getting a paycheck to cover next month's rent. 😂😂😂

The youtube gravy train is going to eventually end for most people other than the chosen few youtube decides to let make money. Sorry gorl

Agreed fully nothing is truly forever and she did not save. In my calculations with her claim saying she saved a lot vs her spending. The highest she saved was probably 50k, she has probably spent 20 of that already. She has with her spending 6 months tops because she goes through money so fast.

She is almost at her lowest since 2017 now in monthly views. We have long since peaked if her ad revenue has been slash along with covid I feel 2k a month is like a hard reach I remember us estimating about 4k a month but now we have demonetisation to consider along with medical coming. Now what can they do to get those medical bills from her? I wholeheartedly think she has not paid a cent yet. (British so free health care.)

AL has said she can spend $1,000-$2000 a month on food (and that's just herself, add in Becky's food and what she pays for D&D). Sometimes it can be her healthy food hauls that end up going bad and trashed because she spent money on take out instead. Uber eats fees also aren't cheap.

$1,000 a month is about $35 a day. It is a lot of money for one person if you cook at home but not if you eat mostly takeaways. Amber eats a lot of food. You may recall her holidays in Lexington last year. She also says that she eats 20 chicken nuggets, fries, a pop and a dessert plus sometimes a hamburger for one meal. I am certain that she eats above $35 of food a day. This is horrifying.

I don't know why it's so difficult to find information on how ads and Adsense works with YouTube. Anyway, I found some information that might actually give some insight into what's going on with jewtube and why Amber might not be posting.

tl dr: Companies aren't spending money on ads like they used to, pre-chinky pox. The price of ads are cheaper due to less than normal demand. Less money spent by advertisers = less $ per ad to the YTer.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Amber doesn't post a video until next month. Whenever it is that Adsense goes up because of the Holidays, or whatever.YouTube Viewership is Up, But YouTubers Are Earning Less Money
YouTube traffic is on the rise amidst the coronavirus pandemic, but it’s not translating into greater earnings for video creators.

The New York Times reported last week that YouTube traffic is up 15%.

However, YouTube channels are reportedly earning less money amidst a surge in viewership.

The same reason why viewership is up is also the reason why YouTubers are bringing in less money despite increased views.

Pandemic Raises Viewership, Lowers Advertising Rates
As Chris Stokel-Walker points out in a report published to Medium’s OneZero, advertising rates on YouTube have dropped by nearly 50% since the beginning of February.

“Everyone is pausing their campaigns on YouTube,” the report says.

Roberto Blake, a YouTuber who also runs ads on the platform, is quoted in the report saying YouTubers have it worse than others right now when it comes to advertising CPM (the amount of revenue earned per thousand views).

“People I know are going down from $8 to $5.50. I’m seeing people go down from $12 to $4,” says Blake.

Considering the economic uncertainty caused by the pandemic, coupled with a rapidly changing consumer landscape, it’s no wonder companies are reeling in their ad spend.

Why Are Earnings Going Down?
YouTubers earn revenue from people viewing ads on videos, and those views are only worth what an advertiser is willing to pay for them.

Fewer advertisers running campaigns means they will pay less for ads due to reduced competition.

The cost of display advertising is determined by how many advertisers are “bidding” on the inventory.

When there’s many advertisers wanting to pay for the same ad space, it creates a bidding war which drives up the cost of ads.

Conversely, when advertisers pause their campaigns and stop bidding on ads, the cost stays low.

When the cost of ads goes down, revenue for the ad publisher (YouTube & its creators) also goes down.

That’s why YouTubers are earning less even if they’re receiving more views on their videos.

YouTubers Say it’s Getting Bad
YouTube creators themselves have confirmed the reported drop in earnings.

A YouTuber who goes by the name Bodil40, who has over 2 million subscribers, says their CPM has dropped 30-50%. If you do a search for “YouTube CPM” on Twitter you’ll quickly find dozens of video creators who are concerned about their YouTube earnings.

I do think this is real, watched a vlog (not from Hambo) today of about 30mins+ for the first time in my pc without adblock, even though we could see the yellow dots for ads (about 5) only 2 ads pop during it, no start ad.
There was a lot of editing and time put in that vlog by the creator, dang...
Shit is getting serious... The Beast is gonna have to dance and show laaayygs...

I don't know if it's in this thread or elsewhere, but early in their relationship, Becky said in a vlog that they spend about $200 a day on garbage food and garbage in general, and that it made her uncomfortable. I can only imagine their daily expenditures have increased since then.

Also when Hambo just moved with Necky, Necky said ( more than once) that Hambo was broke.
Now The Beast is making around the same views as back that time, less than 1.5M.

To be a fly on the wall.

I think with her failing income, Becky is sure fire to leave in January the cursed month for her. We are approaching week 3 nearly though with Chantal hogging the stagelight you'd think she'd return.

Idk man, a lot of people don’t pay their medical bills. A former roommate of mine racked up like $30k after being in for 4 days with no insurance after a car wreck. She hasn’t ever paid a cent towards it and nobody has made any more effort to get it from her than sending her letters in the mail. She is able to lease an apartment, a car and has a credit card so it didn’t fuck her up as far as that goes, maybe she has higher interest rates though, I’m not sure. I don’t think medical debt counts against you in the same way as, say, getting a credit card and buying a bunch of frivolous stuff and then not paying it off.

I don’t know about all hospitals, but i know the one in my town has been bailed out by the government at least 3 times. I’m assuming they just sell the debt and get whatever difference by price gouging the insured. We have the most inflated medical costs in the world for a reason. Again, idk and this is speculation, but that’s where the puzzle pieces fall in my mind.

Now, private doctors (that work in and/or own their own practice) will at least try to sue. I’ve seen therapists and stuff like that sue people, so that’s a possibility. Would a cancer center be that aggressive?

I think Amber is just going to ignore the medical bills, personally. Even if she could pay the debt off, she’s immature and irresponsible so she would definitely buy wommart shit instead. I’m not convinced that she’s dumb enough to ignore her rent, utilities or internet, but she will for sure avoid any payment that won’t immediately fuck her. We’re talking about someone who had all the money in the world to pay for health insurance, but didn’t even get it when her health became an issue. Amber is a major procrastinator, if it’s not happening RIGHT now, if it’s not in her face, she will put it off or ignore it entirely.

Where's becky going to go? Nobody is going to take her in and allow her to just spend all day coloring, rent free. The way I see the saga working out, Becky will have to take a job to "help support" her and amber. But she's going to be like Amber, and dole out an amount of money to her, and probably save a bit to get her on her feet post-amber. She might not pull a destiny and leave amber before the lease is up, but I'll bet once the lease is up, becky is going to peace out. She'll probably have the money saved to buy a beater and then maybe move back into the shanty or with rafe and hannah, or even a sister and find a job there. I don't think becky WANTS to work, not at all. But if amber stops bringing home the (pre-cooked) bacon, becky will have no reason to stay. Or, I don't know, maybe rafe/hannah will take her in, come pick her up and let her be a couch potato there. I think they live rent-free with hannah's mother, as rafe is paid to be her caretaker.

I'm not an expert, but I manage my mom's shit, so this is just based on what I've seen.

I don't think medical debt is counted like regular debt till it's sold to a collection company. Then it's reported on a credit report just like any other debt collection company, be it bought debt from defaulted credit cards or loans. I don't know how frequently hospitals sell debt, but people get billed separately from radiologists at the hospital, the hospitalists also are contractors, the surgeons, etc. So people might have a 30k hospital bill, but that's not necessarily inclusive of the services and practitioners attending to them in the hospital. Those would bill from their practices (even if they're sole proprietors), so a person could be looking at additional thousands in co-insurance charges from whatever brought them to the hospital, on top of their hospital bills. If they don't pay, and the company has a contract with a collection company, the patient is going to be hounded and their credit report will reflect it.

In the end, it doesn't matter because Amber's credit is fucked. It's MUCH harder to get your credit up if you have no/little credit history than it is if you have tons of defaulted debts, but a long background of reliable credit history. If someone has credit history, even if their score is like 500, paying off some debt will bring it up quickly and in higher increments than someone with little credit history paying off what debts they may have.

ETA: I just wonder if she's been dumb enough to take advantage of not paying things (like rent or utilities) because of the 'rona, not realizing that the money will still have to be paid eventually - with fees!

Eric and Ricky would be happy to take Becky in and get her away from ALR. I don’t see Hannah and rafe doing that. But I can see her welcomed back to the shanty at any time.

I think so. They were friends well before Amber showed up. She might have to pay her way this time.

Didn't AL have one hospital bringing her to court for racking up the ER bills?
