Does the Adsense revenue also depend on the type of ads being run? Would Amber's videos have different ads than non-deathfat YouTubers, and might those ads still have been lucrative for the companies running them despite the pandemic? I wonder if there's any information available on that sort of thing or if it's something creators aren't supposed to talk about.Bud I still don’t think he Adsense is that bad considering what we see on camera. I’ve also seen a few creators say that it’s getting better.
After watching chantal and amberlynn, my ads have changed drastically. It's almost always weightloss/diet ads but I would never get those before.Does the Adsense revenue also depend on the type of ads being run? I would imagine it probably goes by category and that’s why they have you put the video in a category. And also YouTube is directly linked to google so your googling also affects what adds you get. And I’ve had instances where I’ve said something in a verbal phone conversation and then I get an ad for it. Like the NRA once, which is totally not on my side of the consumer spectrum but I made a joke on the phone about the NRA to my friend, verbally and had an NRA commercial on my YouTube an hour later. Sometimes I test it and say something out loud like triscuits or something totally random to see if I can catch it listening to me but maybe there aren’t triscuits commercials right now lol. I need some bigger buzz word to test it. Any ideas? After watching chantal and amberlynn, my ads have changed drastically. It's almost always weightloss/diet ads but I would never get those before.
So what I was thinking is: If a YouTuber's videos were usually accompanied by ads for things like travel, or clothing, or things one would tend to consume if they were going out of the house on a regular basis, those people might see their revenue decline more than someone who showed ads for things that would still be relevant while stuck at home. Weight loss and diet ads seem like they would still be lucrative, especially with people complaining about gaining weight while in quarantine. It's just a guess though, I have no idea how it actually works. After watching chantal and amberlynn, my ads have changed drastically. Im sure bigger companies pay more, but I don’t get the logic behind how the ads are places. I get ads for bigger companies on small channels, examples recently being Air Wick, Trojan and The New York Times, but they’re usually at the beginning before the video starts. If someone has 8 ads and they aren’t a very popular channel, the majority of the ads tend to be for things like mobile games, influencer products or apps in my experience. Even amberlynn had some major brands in her ads before I started blocking them.Does the Adsense revenue also depend on the type of ads being run? That’s actually genuinely terrifying.Im sure bigger companies pay more, but I don’t get the logic behind how the ads are places. Ironically, the weight loss ads I get tend to be on videos completely unrelated to fitness or weight loss, though I have gotten them on Amber and
Chantal’s videos... which I think is weird. You’d think their channels would be prime real estate for that kind of thing. Adversely, any time I watch a video about the crypto or stock markets, I am relentlessly bombarded with ads by financial “gurus”, Robinhood, Acorns, trading platforms and investment firms for weeks. It makes no sense that my ads only become relevant to my searches when it’s financial stuff.
There’s a video I saw by a guy who tested this. He doesn’t have a dog, so he doesn’t search for anything related to pets. He started mentioning dogs and suddenly he was getting ads for Chewy. I’d just try something like the NRA thing. Just start taking about stuff you never mention or look up. Here’s the link to the vid:
I do not think that people are literally saying that her channel has been dying. However, the pandemic has caused companies to reduce their marketing budgets and it is reflected with lower CPMs. A lot of YTers have said that while their views are up, their incomes are down. I do not think Amber is any different. A couple years ago, she probable made close to $10k a month, but now she probably make less then half of that. This is a lot of money for the quality product that she posts, but with the increase expense in living in Lexington, she find that she can’t spend as much as she wants. The fact that she wanted to create a Patreon let us to believe t that all is not well in “Chez Amber”. Her car is on its last leg, Becky is not contributing anything financially, her entourage is still mooching on her. I think that it is stressing her.Why do people keep saying her channel is going down the toilet? I just counted 11 videos within the last few weeks that have over 100k views. Her views have gone up like 30-40k since her last surgery updates. I mean if you compare her views to like 6 months ago then maybe, but her views weren’t even consistent then. They went from around ~70k to 170k but more often they were close to the lower end.
Where do you get the info about the six month apartment inspection? Just curious. I’ve never had to have one of those and have lived many places.Yeah like Turd said there was a guy called Atozy that made this comment he has a million subs gets I think 200k views per vid well back in May in a passing comment he said that his ads were down by about 50 - 70%. That is pretty big and yeah Amber barely gets 2m views a month now her average was about 3m but her moves have indicated home is far from perfect. I think her credit is fucked so she is probably having to pay outright or use Becky's credit for a car. Remember too at month 6 her home will be reviewed and they will have an inspection. If they don't like what she will get kicked out these contracts usually have steep clauses like "If we do not find how you have treated the apartment we are within right to terminate your contract." This will most likely be the case this is even with issues such as her not using the one bedroom.
The place Amber is living at is nice but places like that in my research are very strict on who they keep and things like noise complaints etc get all totted up and they will go hard. She thinks she at the top of the world but her being kicked out fag shanty has caused her more problems.
Could you share your sources for this? I'd be very curious to see exactly what standards Amber's going to have to maintain to keep living there. The place Amber is living at is nice but places like that in my research are very strict on who they keep and things like noise complaints etc get all totted up and they will go hard.
Wait, what? What does it matter if they're not using the one bedroom? They're paying for the whole apartment. I've never heard of anything like that before. That doesn't make any sense. If they don't like what she will get kicked out these contracts usually have steep clauses like "If we do not find how you have treated the apartment we are within right to terminate your contract." What landlords can & can't do isn't easily generalized. Many jurisdictions have what I'll broadly call 'landlord/tenant legislation' that stipulates what each party to a lease can & can't do. Some areas favor tenants' over landlords & vice versa. But as a rule, as long as neither party is being too much of a dick, rent is being paid on time & repairs/maintenance are done reasonably well & on time.
If a tenant chooses to use a bedroom as a room for pets, a walk in closet or whatever - I've never heard of anywhere in the US or Canada where a landlord can use that as an excuse to punt a tenant.
In a place like hers, the thermostat likely controls the whole unit and not individual rooms.Where I live an issie with not using a room properly in an apartment complex would be whether you are still heating the room properly. Some want to save some bucks for energy and this can use mold problems.
But I don't see Amber letting the room get cold and maybe there is a certain amount for utilities per flat to be paid anyway independent of who uses more or less energy.
