Amber replied, AFTER people called her out for never hiding food, detailing how she stole and hid food when she was in the whole foster situation, but she deleted the response a couple of minutes later.

I especially enjoyed her insisting she has BED because she hides food and binges in secret, even after people pointed out how ridiculous that is when she relies on Becky to get all of her "binge" food. Who would she be hiding it from exactly?

Her answer to that was basically "YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE!"

I don't think betterhelp will even be able to figure out who amber is talking to, so they SHOULD be safe unless she gives out her counselors name. All of their therapist are freelanced. The therapists are required to have 3 years plus 1500 hours of face to face practice to be able to apply to give online counseling. To be a client to one of betterhelps counselors you can stay completely anonymous. They do not have access to your medical records, therefore it would be truly impossible for them to diagnose anyone with anything. You could sign up and pretend you are someone else and they would not be able to offer you anything but advice on what they think your going through.

I highly doubt any counselor is willing to risk their career that they went to college for and has already put into practice just to tell a famous lesbian youtuber that she has binge eating disorder.

Online therapy is fine, in fact it's great for folks who are very sick and cannot make it to a therapists office. However, Amber spreading misinformation about it, is not okay.

I remember hearing about online therapy for the first time maybe ten years ago and it was meant for already diagnosed patients as an alternative method for conventional therapy or counselling. Online therapy suits for some people and it definitely can help seek further treatment.

I don't think it's good for Amber though, since she lahhs about everything and does shit like this to 'prove da hayders' wrong.

Regarding blood work, is the process complicated in USA?

When I need a blood test, I literally just book an appointment with my doctor. She fills out a form listing the things to be tested for, signs it and gives it to me. Then I need to find a nurse to conduct the bloodtest (in the same clinic, typically on my way out, but I can go to any clinic and they use the magic of the internet to forward the results to my doctor). I get a text/email when the results are ready, and come in to see my doctor again. I'm almost certain in places that do bulk billing (Australian healthcare) and pay-out-of-pocket, because my mother in a rural town gets regular blood tests as well.

Is there something I am missing? Is it hard to find a nurse/clinic that does bloodtests in USA? It's not like she's testing for rare genetic diseases or anything, she just would be tested on things like blood sugar, iron, b12, and whatever else fat-related issues blood can have, which I'm sure are a common request on blood tests in rural Kentucky.

I think if there were a magic pill that could do it she would take it, but in terms of the task she's facing I don't think she believes she can do it at all. Nah, there are plenty of places that don't even require an appointment. You just walk in with the doctor's orders, give them your info if you've not been there before, and wait for them to call for you.

she needs her liver tested and kidney function before continuing to get her medication. That is normal for people being on SSRI's to have done. There needs to be a comprehensive metabolic panel done to check kidney function and liver levels and lez be real..she needs those anyway
