You're not wrong, but I think the motive is far more basic than trying to make her thumbnails look like a reaction channels, just a garden variety ploy for more views.

If you scroll back through her channel, her thumbnails aren't thumbnails by common youtube standards. She almost exclusively uses stills, with no text, clipart, emoji, icons, photos inset, etc. It's basic AF -

It's still low effort, no imagination or real thought or consideration given. There's countless blogs, videos, apps etc, dedicated to how to create a click worthy thumbnail. Even if she didn't research, she's a youtube viewer - emulate what others are doing, it's not rocket science.
I wonder if this is Jade's doing. Her souless, basic, jump-cut-ridden editing style would certainly tie in with the 'fuck a few bits of clip art on a still, call it a day' look of these thumbnails.

We all know that Destiny is a simpleton but she has an history with Amber and knows how she treats her girlfriends. With Amber’s income down, there is less financial incentive to do so. When Amber was with her, She was far more active and do things. Now, Amber lives like a disabled OAP who does not do much outside the flat. There is very little that would entice Destiny to go back to Amber.

Jade is basically her roommate who pays half the rent and lives in the master bedroom. Amber would have to kick her out.

After 19 hours, Amber’s video has 26k views while Bottle has 31k views but AF has not yet uploaded. Clearly, people are viewing Amber’s videos through reaction channels.
