I'm not talking about word choices. There is an underlying difference between White American voices and black American voices. A speech pathologist might be able to explain it more precisely.

I've never really studied the white / black American voice divide in the context you proffer, nor indeed the British equivalent. Straight away my mind goes to Morgan Freeman on the US side, but then it also goes to Trevor McDonald on the Brit side. Both would be considered top end diction for their country, but is ethnicity determinable on blind listening?

I'd be interested in a Brit could chime in unless you're British ofc. The same as I wouldn't expect a Brit to necessarily be able to distinguish certain American accents or mannerisms, I could imagine that it's equally tricky for non-Brits on the outside looking in.
