I still really enjoyed the movie for what it was. Especially if you view it as Ed Norton’s character realizing that while his beliefs are, if extreme, logical and reached through experience and intelligence the people he surrounds himself with because of those shared beliefs are total retards more interested in causing pain and suffering than anything resembling actually trying to solve what they view as problems. I’m even fine with the prison rape stuff because it’s a representation of him realizing that these people, his people, are not like him with his honor, intelligence, dignity, or even racial loyalty.
Obviously the film would have been better without meddling, and it certainly would have been more interesting especially towards the end, but all things considered I respect the movie for what it is.
It's infuriating for "them" because you can't deny how impassioned and logically sound Edward Norton was in that role. He essentially acted too hard and they wanted to walk it back but the director was from the old school punk rock ilk and told everyone to go fuck themselves and even took out full page ads in the LA Times saying as much.

The director channelled some very real vibes that were everywhere in Southern California at that time and they were terrified about that gaining a larger audience. I lived right up the road when it came out and skate punk culture was heavily white centric. Everyone hated the fact that mexicans and jungle asians just magically showed up out of nowhere after their parents and grandparents built a literal paradise out of California.

Even if we are totally and only looking at Ed’s acting without any racial or political baggage, he was absolutely phenomenal in the film because of how well he sold the character of an actual racist who is a complex person rather than being yet another dumb one-note character of “le evil stupid White racist”.
It’s just a unique film, you don’t get that type of seriously thought-provoking stuff anymore because the topic is verboten if not done “correctly”.

RedLetterMedia has done a tremendous job of covering how and why we don't get those low/mid budget dramas anymore because of how Hollywood wants to swing for the fence with an Avengers clone or do nothing at all.

The 90s were the best but also the worst for social commentary films. But the market was loosey goosey enough to let an actual visionary like Tarantino squeak through and make things like Pulp Fiction but we had to put up with dullard social justice shit like Higher Learning.

We are nowhere close to that kind of cultural commentary today. The Blumhouse model has convinced everyone that shitty low budget horror films are the only profitable thing studios are willing to produce and we are in a cultural cul de sac right now.

Hoping hard for a couple new young Scorseses to drop some wild unironic pro white nationalist 2 hour war epics (what that Civil War movie should have been)

The pendulum swings in that direction I hope

Ha ha. No.

However, if you're mean to a black person, they'll put you in jail for 20 years:

The claim is: Torres and Norton, along with their group, stopped outside the home and began yelling racial slurs at the attendees, including children as young as 8 years old. Witnesses reported hearing the N-word and other derogatory language, with the group shouting threats like, “We’ll kill you all!” Torres, armed with a shotgun, pointed the weapon at the partygoers, while another member brandished a knife. One chilling moment captured in testimony involved Torres allegedly pointing the gun at a child and saying, “I’ll blow your head off,”

...there's no video of this, of course. And it's totally believable that white people would do this.

Also, if a black man stabs you, and then you say the magic no-no word, then no jury will convict him, because it's okay to stab whites who say the no-no word:

Hope that clears things up for you. If you're mean to them, 20 years in prison. If they stab you, no punishment at all.

Anyway, here's another example of a black woman entrusted with a bit of power, abusing that power to enrich herself. She worked for code enforcement, so naturally she went around demanding bribes. That's how it works in Africa, so why wouldn't she do it here?

America is supposedly a horrible white supremacist nation that guns down blacks for fun but also in Georgia which is the deep south and easily considered one of the most "racist" states in the US you get 20 years for a racist tirade. Like come the fuck on.

A final solution you might say...

> steals sunglasses
> runs from police
> jumps from second floor to escape police
> breaks both his legs
> tfw your tax dollars will now pay for his medical care and prosecution (not not incarceration because he wont spend any time in jail)

Don't watch if you're bothered by broken bones

That was pure kino. Jumps down onto the skating rink, instantly breaks both legs into a sitting position, realizes he can’t move, waves his arms at them in a “what is this bullshit” motion, lays back on the ice and starts playing on his phone.

This is actually the true reason why nigger do not play hockey: the contact with the cold ice instantly cools off the hot, jungle rhythms in their chests, which makes them pretty useless as ice hockey players.

Considering how fucking dumb that is and most likely in a African Nation, I'll place this here.

Mansa Musa: The Biggest Fraud in History. 31 minute Video breaking down the We was Kangs theory on Mansa Musa and his Mali Empire and the myth of having so much gold that he affected Egypt's gold economy during the early 14th Century.

I recently got reccomended this vid, its really good, bonus points for calling out John Green/Crash Course, I feel like they don't get taken to task enough on the bullshit they spread. Also, James Altus did a follow up vid on the Congo under Leopold II, its another really soild vid.

Weed addiction is not real. A psychological addiction of that nature means you should loose autonomy and be thrown in jail or appointed a state custodian. Whatever costs the taxpayer less.
I've always felt the only real addictions are those that if abruptly removed causes real physical side effects. Everything else is just someone who prefers using etc.
