7/23/2016 DNC Email Leaks - Confirming what we already knew

20,000 emails were leaked from the Democratic National Committee.
The emails show that the DNC has been shilling for Hillary from the very start, including collusion between several media outlets (what a fucking surprise).
The current DNC chair is refusing to speak at the national convention after this.
Twitter has reportedly made attempts to censure the #DNCLeaks hashtag.
I thought this was a big enough thing to make a separate thread on, merge this with the general politic thread if it's not enough.

I am thinking it may be Clinton foundation emails. Possibly tax records of Clinton which would be devastating when cross referencing them to the "speaker" fees that her and her husband receive. They make hundreds of thousands for that which is so obviously a bribe for "favors" and it makes me wonder how they are filing it or if they are even reporting them. If it has to do with the IRS and the Clinton foundation these protests may hit the next level.

My thoughts, it's more like her email transcripts last year that indicates she was all for bombing middle-eastern countries trying to westernize because it would mean the Saudis had less pull. Something that can't really be spun into being defensible. I wouldn't be surprised if yours was the case though.

Wikileaks has always done this - hype up something so they can get attention, get donations, and then under-deliver in the grandest of fashion.

Anything short of evidence that Hillary sold nuclear secrets would pretty much fall flat based on what wikileaks has been hyping.

Seriously, Assange has always been an arrogant, narcissistic asshole. I have no sympathy for anyone who is just suddenly realizing this only once he's gored their ox.

The general concept of Wikileaks is good and can work with or without this asshat. The recent execution leaves something to be desired, though.

Spot on. First class cunt he is. I never understood the wholesale libetarian sucking of Assange's cock.
 
Assange is a useful "leader" figurehead for the purposes of interviews, press releases, and demonstrating that Governments don't like having their dirty laundry aired. If the US had its way, Assange and Snowden would be being waterboarded in Guantanemo right now. Attempting to build them up beyond someone who thinks of freedom of information is a good idea, is stupid though. But people love to build people up like that. After Kanye released that faked nude bed photo for his album, fans came out and called him a genius. After Chris Brown beat Rhianna, his fans jumped out saying they could only WISH they were beaten by him.

Apparently some leaks are supposed to be coming out in October, detailing links the Clinton foundation had to a contact in Saudi Arabia, who in turn financially aided ISIS. I'm not sure how useful the leaks will be however, Hillary released state secrets over a private email server during her time as State Department head. And apparently the media is meh about it.

At this point, the only way I can see the media turning on her is if her secret lover was Bin Laden and she co-planned and financed 9/11 herself. Because it seems like she is fairly immune to direct criticism.
