Seriously though, if it's 'migrating' (I'll assume he means rejecting, when the piercing pushes out as the body treats it as a foreign object) that can mean a few things. He may have the wrong kind of bar in, or maybe an allergy to the \M/ETAL used (though most piercers will use titanium, and if so gold won't make a blind bit of difference), or maybe it was just pierced badly in the first place. Either way, pretty nasty. I will say though that a rejecting piercing doesn't always mean that it's infected.

He had the wrong bar in according to our resident professional piercer. He went for a straight bar when he should have gone for a curved one.

Either way, we got TWO pics of the taint piercing. One when he had it and one where he was crowing about growing labia (The infection).
 
It shouldn't have come as a surprise he didn't pick a piercing with a curved bar, seeing how he underlined the importance of staying straight 7 years ago.

I was hoping he was just boasting about what he was going to do then get rejected by the tattoo/piercing parlor. Nope, he's already got it jammed in there. Tattoo parlor guy this is most definitely unradical.

The parlor has become one of my personal heroes. What a disgraceful way to put your health at risk. Try not to die, Chris. I hope everything comes well next time. Just don't let your body rot while you're still alive.

I don't see why everyone is complaining about the piercing place... this is their job. The only thing they are legally bound to do is to make sure minor's don't get piercings and that they inform and get written consent that they've talked to Chris about the risks and that he's agreed to do the piercing anyway.

They COULD say no, if they had a moral obligation to it, but a piercing that does "exotic" piercing like gouches and taints and clits are already ok with most piercings. A fat man dressed as a woman coming in, smelling a little off, and seeming a little 'weird' by normal standards isn't going to ring any bells with them. I am a little surprised that they let him bring in his own piercing, but then again, we don't know their policies. For all we know, Chris straight up lied to them about information they needed to know about it. If they said "we only allow other people's piercings pieces if ________", Chris would undoubtedly lie and say "It fits the requirements".

This place of business just made $100 off this piercing; this isn't a sum of money that they were going to pass up because of 'morals', but it's still not enough money that they'd have broken any laws.

A lot of places are cool with you bringing in your own jewelry, as long as it's appropriate to the spot & safe. My piercer didn't bat an eye when I was getting my nipples done & I'd brought my own stainless rings.

Really? When I had my lip done I had my own jewellery and I was told to let it heal before I change the jewellery.
 
10K gold is still allergenic for a lot of people; you have to get up to 18K before the percentage of nickel gets low enough to stop triggering reactions (and some people need to go higher still).

I think the argument that has been made is that if Chris nether regions are still not free of infection, they might well be putting themselves at legal risk if they proceded. State piercing and tattooing laws provide additional restrictions that businesses have to follow if they want to provide those services, they also have to follow all other laws. Negligence still applies, even if the negligent act is not spelled out in the laws that apply specifically to piercing.

As for the consent, if someone was obviously not competent, I suppose it could be argued that they were clearly not capable of giving consent. I don't think that is the case with Chris. If he focuses, he is capable of appearing functional.

A little too much has been made of the last piercing/infection, imo. When you get a piercing like that, you are at high risk of infection. Chris got a minor infection. He may not have cared for it ideally, but he did seem to put some time and energy into caring for it. When things went south, he took it out, and gave it some time to heal. I am sure a lot of people do worse. I think this is a case of it could have happened to a lot of people (or at least anyone who got their taint pierced).

Chris does a lot of really stupid and careless stuff, but sometimes we criticize him too much for the slightly stupid and careless stuff. This might be an example.

1) we don't know if it's still infected, three people who are in the "christory" or "mod/supervisor" positions have stated it's likely healed already.
2) Chris isn't "clearly incompetent". He's only that way because we know way too much about it. Someone just meeting him or even having an hour long chat with him won't notice anything other then he's weird/different/not normal. Chris doesn't talk to strangers like he talks to us, it takes him a while to warm up to people and the piercing people aren't like dentists... they don't chit chat people unless they're actually interested in the piercing or tattoo they're doing. And no one is going to be interested in the taint piercing of a man trying to be a woman. Not in that small town.
3) Chris didn't take his piercing out because of the infection... he took it out because it was migrating. Migration does not mean infection; granted, it can happen during infections, but migrations can happen for a couple of reasons that have nothing to do with a unhealthy or infected piercing.

All I'm saying, overall, is this: people need to calm down about how much they hate the piercer or how immoral they think the piercers are. They're doing their job, they're sticking to the law, and Chris is a man-child that will only listen to advice if it's in his favor; some poor piercer at this place probably TRIED to tell Chris this wasn't a great idea, but Chris was hellbent on getting it done.
 
Sometimes tattoo places that do piercings as a side business aren't so great about their piercings. I went to a tattoo place to get a piercing (my nose) and they were amazing and did an exceptional job, but the person who did it was a dedicated piercer rather than a tattoo artist with a piercing license. I was so impressed with the place I wound up going back there for a tattoo this year. I hope the place he went was like that and a professional piercer dealt with him, because you do not want someone who is not a specialist piercing you anywhere, least of all your junk.

The straight barbell and the re-piercing of an infected site really worry me (if the site was still infected), because it suggests the piercer isn't that experienced. They're not Hitler or anything, I just suspect they might not be the most experienced person ever. Bringing in jewelery isn't really unusual and they'll use it if they can sterilise it and it's the correct gauge. I'm not sure if $100 is standard, high or low for that kind of piercing. I know that my nose always ran me about $40.
