White knights are trolls. And really, that's a reasonable perspective for Chris. He's got a gallery of people telling him to do or not do stuff, white knights aren't any different from the other people in the crowd.
Not all of them are. Some people just stumble across this poor twisted individual and genuinely want to see his life get better.

I sorta expected this. Given Chris' hard-headed attitude, I wouldn't be surprised if the parlour staff gave him firm warning about the implications of this.

Then again given his attitude of years past. He'll still learn nothing. All we could probably do is wait. If he's fine, good for him. If he gets really sick from this... Oh who am I kidding, I bet not even death himself would convince him.

Nah, he's not dedicated to it in spite of medical risks. The problem is that no one has explicitly told him that any taint piercing will kill him.

If you're not explicit, he thinks he found a loophole.

I always thought that Chris was never really mentally disabled, just astoundingly arrogant and self-deluded, but this is really making me reconsider that position.

That's probably true, but here's the problem - they can't. No one who does not have direct supervision over Chris-Tran is going to make his life any better. Unless a person can cut down his internet or deny him access to Legos or whatever, he's not going to stop doing something that he wants to do, no matter how obviously, stupidly self-destructive. Even the promise of china (as has been amply demonstrated so many times in the past) is powerless to breach the impenetrable wall of dumb which Our Pet Manbaby has surrounded himself.

Chris-Tran is, tragically, impervious to reason.

People don't become interested in Chris enough to message him without wading through the cwcki (and back in the day, the ED page). Chris can't tell what your intentions are. (And really, even to the white nights themselves, they have fuzzy motives.) All Chris sees is a stranger attracted by his internet fame trying to talk to him.

I saw the picture of the infection and just... good god. When you compare the fresh piercing (the first one) with the infected taint, it looks like the piercing has moved closer to the surface of the skin - in the first pic, you could only see the balls at the ends of the piercing, now you can see more of the rod. Like how the hell did that happen? Is his body rejecting the piercing?

Chris is in an interesting position where his IQ is about average but his developmental disabilities and his egotism render him into a dysfunctional idiot.

And so he does shit like re-piercing his horrible infected taint.

Do you really think his IQ is average? He seems like he has mild but noticeable cognitive disabilities to me, as well as his psychological peculiarities and horrendous judgment.

I think the psychology papers confirmed Chris has an average IQ, IICR.

Chris was also considered competent enough to have a driver's license, and go to a community college. I certainly don't think he had an above average IQ, but most people here would agree that if Chris had better parents and got the help he actually needed, then he would be more successful in life. If anything, I would think his IQ hovers around the 90-point range, and 90-110 is considered average.

Ew.
I feel pity for the poor bastard who had to stare at Chris' smelly junk to pierce it.
And I feel even more pity for the poor doctor or nurse who will have to treat his piss and shit infection.

As you say, average can mean a few different things. It can mean literally the 50th percentile, so half the people are dumber than him. Or it can mean something a little more colloquial like "most people don't perform all that much better than him on an IQ test". He is on the meaty part of the distribution.

My perpsective is that Chris is average or slightly below at most intellectual tasks, and much further below at a few. The problem is that the few things he is really bad at interact in a way that creates a spectacular failure. Also, most people learn to "patch over" their weak points with some combination of avoiding those tasks, spending extra time to do them more acceptably, and publicly acknowledging them as weaknesses. Chris doesn't do any of those.

Chris could have an IQ as low as 85 and still be considered within "normal" range. Personally I think his is between 70 and 85, which puts him in the borderline intellectual functioning range, but above mental retardation. So he has cognitive impairments but is not disabled (based on his intelligence alone).
