I swear, if you jinx me that Chris gets a taint piercing that is gold with diamonds at the end... And yes, I mentioned the thought of that earlier in this thread.

In all seriousness, if people are going to have something golden, shiny, or have diamonds pierced on their bodies, it better be visible like on their earlobes. Because what's the point of adding jewelry to a body part that can't be seen in public?

People get piercings for all sorts of reasons; not everyone gets them to show them off to other people. Facial piercings aren't for everyone, anyway. People in more conservative workplace environments can't get piercings on their face, so if they want to get a piercing, they will opt to get one in a location that wouldn't ordinarily get seen in the workplace. It may seem silly to spend money on an expensive piece of jewelry on a piercing that only you and maybe a few intimate partners will see, but people who get pierced have their reasons.

Why does Chris do anything he does? Because he's Chris, that's why. Then again, you do touch on something interesting -- Chris tends to portray the female genitalia a lot higher up than where it really is.

Or maybe he just wanted to draw attention away from his penis? Who knows?

3) Chris didn't take his piercing out because of the infection... he took it out because it was migrating. Migration does not mean infection; granted, it can happen during infections, but migrations can happen for a couple of reasons that have nothing to do with a unhealthy or infected piercing.

All I'm saying, overall, is this: people need to calm down about how much they hate the piercer or how immoral they think the piercers are. They're doing their job, they're sticking to the law, and Chris is a man-child that will only listen to advice if it's in his favor; some poor piercer at this place probably TRIED to tell Chris this wasn't a great idea, but Chris was hellbent on getting it done.

Chris also had to be badgered into taking it out. Remember, after the piercing migrated he re-pierced himself with a safety pin :cryblood: then re-inserted the jewelry. Renee (and Catherine) nagged him continually until he took it out.

That's true, and a valid point. But Chris isn't always open to advice. I don't know if/when he would have taken it out on his own, but the fact that he was capable of being convinced does show he was willing to listen to reason about it. And he isn't always willing to listen to reason.

I'm starting to think that some of you here on this thread are making predictions of what his third taint piercing will look like. That's horrible. What's next? Talking about what his infection in his taint will look like and how he will describe his infection in comparison to the actual female vaginal area?

Odds are he wouldn't have taken it out unless (until!) the ER staff made him. He was so damn pleased with himself because he thought he was growing a vagina.

Well, that's the question, though. I wouldn't be surprised if the pain and complications did make Chris a bit nervous, so when someone he trusted raised the point it might be a good idea to take it out, Chris actually went along with it. I guess he would have taken it out on his own, but it would have taken him longer to come to that conclusion.

It's not like Chris never follows any advice, it's just he thoroughly rejects any advice he doesn't like. So if you tell him to eat icecream and play vidya he'll be all over it, but if you tell him to do some working out and improving his diet, he's going to go "I'll think about it, hm yeah..."
In the rare instance of Chris being uncertain about something, it depends on how much he trusts the person giving him an advice.
 
If I remember right, didn't Chris said that he hates his own penis/bulge so much that he tucks it between under his legs? Because tucking it right now won't be a good idea since that will only make his infection worse. :cryblood:

It's not really reason. @Stud2Stud explained it well. There are things Chris desperately wants, things Chris refuses to do, and a wide swathe of things in between. If Chris doesn't passionately care about something, you can badger him into it.

So with the taint piercing, someone could've used some scary words like "death" or "dying" or "you're going to die from crotch rot if you don't take that out and see a doctor right now", and presto, he complies. What this person failed to include is "... and never get another taint piercing ever again, because it'll kill you". Hence Chris' current situation.

If you told Chris "don't let that car run you over, it could kill you", he'd assume you only meant that one car and wouldn't think about the possibility of other cars killing him.

Yes but we're talking about Chris's taint here. He's getting very excited at the thought of him having an infection that looks like a vagina to him and he's going to keep getting his taint pierced until he has a clear opening for his pseudo-pussy.

Nah, he's not dedicated to it in spite of medical risks. The problem is that no one has explicitly told him that any taint piercing will kill him.

If you're not explicit, he thinks he found a loophole.
 
Hopefully it's a gold coloured (made by heat treating) grade 23 titanium bar and not an actual gold one. It's probably gonna go wrong anyway but the nickel in gold jewellery will just make it worse.

Well, generations of white knights have failed to change his mind when they straight up told him what he was doing wrong, and even if you tell Chris that his scrotum might rot from sepsis, he'll take that as a positive.

White knights are trolls. And really, that's a reasonable perspective for Chris. He's got a gallery of people telling him to do or not do stuff, white knights aren't any different from the other people in the crowd.
