I honestly recommend people who are concerned with the direction of the country to factor in the possibility of moving country within the next 10 years if things get sufficiently bad.

It doesn't need to be anything extreme, like the progs who went "I'M MOVING TO CANADA" when Trump won.

But maybe put aside some savings and think about where you'd want to move to. Begin learning the language and culture if you need to ahead of time. That way if shit hits the fan and you decide you need to move abroad, then you aren't gonna be too badly fucked with integrating.

Don't make hasty decisions, but definitely think about keeping it in your 5-to-10 year plan.

Yeah, I think they're done.

A big part of the SNP's gimmick was "look at those fucking English Tories and how they're fucking up our Scotland" and now they don't have that.
 
All Scotland have now is haggis, single malt, and JK Rowling.

I should move back to the UK.

Honestly at this point if your even slightly skilled, leave the UK as there is simply nothing for you here and you will be paid far more by moving into Europe or America. Taxes are very likely going to explode so why would you even want to start a business? Existing companies will pay you next to nothing thanks to the massively depreciated wages. Being a native English speaker is super desirable to a lot of country's and if you're willing to take the time to learn a new language then you'll have no problems moving and finding a far better paying job.

I myself plan to leave within the next 2 years (already was planning to pre election).

What gets me is how the idea of fleeing the UK is universally appealing to very different people. At the beginning of the year I spent my free time fixing up a flat, going to all the usual hardware places (Howden’s, Selco, screwfix, etc.) to get what I needed. I made it a point to ask the 18-21 year old fellas that you see working there what their plan for the future was, 90% of them said that they wanted to leave the UK.

Some people may just brush it off as young guys with entry level jobs going to try their luck elsewhere, but it’s not that simple. Two different friends in their mid 30’s with established careers have approached me to ask what I think about them leaving the UK in the future, one with a high flying corporate finance job and the other owns a car dealership. Seemingly the only people happy to stay are the people that arrived yesterday.

I got out. It was the only way I could have a quality of life that I thought was fit for a man. If I stayed in the UK I wouldn't be a homeowner right now, and I sure as fuck wouldn't have savings.

I'm 28. Once I get some decentish experience in my field - nuclear energy under my belt; I am gone. In the wind to somewhere in Europe, Canada or the US.
 
Once Labour is established. The amount of Nigerians, Indians, Pakis and beyond coming here on healthcare sponsorship, work visas, student visas, etc is going to explode far beyond any Tories wettest of dreams. I'm already aware of several agencies getting hard at the thought of it and making plans for the large influx about to start applying. These immigrants will take priority over the local population (as they already have been) and it will only succeed in pushing more and more natives into looking to greener pastures.

This gives me an idea. A small intelligence question at the foot of each ballot. Doesn't have to be complex and certainly shouldn't be time consuming. Just a moderately basic thing that allows ballots to be discarded from people who can't solve it. Obviously there would need to be a small pool of such puzzles for a random one to be placed on the bottom of each ballot.

FWIW (as nobody else commented) they're a Northern Irish party and the second biggest one in their Assembly, and the seats are over there in their shit island.
Basically, they're irrelevant to anyone who isn't Irish.

We are also leaving the UK within the next year. We both have good careers but we just don't see a future here for us or our children. This was the plan all along but this election only cemented it.
 
So from the outside looking in as a stupid American, did the UK citizens see what was happening in their country and decide to vote even further left?

Is this the equivalent of Biden winning in 2024 even bigger than 2020?

What happened is we had 14 years of Conservative super majority rule. The Conservatives had free rein to do what ever they wanted yet kept pandering to left/far left the entire time or their own insiders with business deals and insider trading. They would drop a few social issues here and there including the whole trans stuff (which they only did after multiple rapes and the tavistock report) to try and appease it's voting base.

After dozens of controversies, 5 prime minsters in 4 years (4 of which weren't even elected) and inviting almost the entirety of the third world we all came together and decided that we should instead vote even harder left and vote in Labour who already made it very clear that they will double down on almost everything or remove any of the social issue changes such as the anti tranny stuff. All because it "punishes the Torries" as the country has convinced it's self that their are only 2 parties, regardless of the others policy.

So this goes beyond voting in Biden for a second round. It would be like thinking Biden isn't left wing enough and voting in Bernie Sanders just to "show it to the democrats".

Yeah, looking forward to November to watch one. Which dementia riddled old man will win and Which will go to jail on trumped up charges? How long will it take for the losing side to go full riot? Watching failed states try and work out a government is always fun.
