Trump should have gone a lot harder on her for that. I guess he was trying to keep himself and check, but Trump should have been far more aggressive.
He should've hammered her more on the DNCLeaks. She ignored his argument, obviously meaning she had no comeback. And the crowd cheered when he said she screwed over Sanders. Same with the emails and Clinton's nonanswer. I think Trump just has a hard time telling when to press a point and when to let one go.

Maybe he should have prepared to the debate.

I think the real victim here was Lester Holt. I really hope they get someone else to be the debate moderator. I also hope the next two debates are better than this one. Someone better destroy someone.

I think people were expecting Trump to body Clinton but that didn't happen. But everyone agrees Lester is a huge fucking cuck.
I think a lot of what he said was poorly rehearsed and he defaulted to his ramblomatic replies, but her very well rehearsed answers were as much white noise. In terms of the effect the debate had on the voting population, they broke even, and Trump nimbly handled issues of racism and sexism which is what he needed more than anything. More over, he did not come out and personally attack anything but her career as a politician.

My biggest gripe is that he did not tie things back to specific issues. He would get so so so close and never hit it, like a fucking cocktease. There are things he could slam her with, and she even said things that could be slammed back in her face with issues she has caused (most notably her sponsored crime reform bill in the 90s), but he failed to do that.

The one that really got me was she called him a racist or something because of housing concerns and he started talking about his golf course. I know for sure his advisors wanted him to tie this back to Clinton belonging to a golf club that prohibited jews from joining, but instead he lingered entirely on his golf course. This was half of his intended response.

For the second debate, he needs to know the ways she has failed. He needs to better complete circuits in his replies. He needs to focus less than 100% of his attention on the economy. He also needs to never refer to "the Cyber" again.

Well, that debate sucked. I feel like Trump got cornered a-lot and barely managed to get himself out. I feel like only Hillary made strong talking points. It's like the cunt is already the president

I'll end up voting for Clinton because I feel she's the lesser of two evils, but I'd love to just sit this one out. Trump's a total buffoon and Hilary's like that boring teacher that droned on and on. Wake me up when it's all over.

Yeah and next up is the VP debate. Trump is going to need Clinton to return to fucking up constantly to have a chance, since Pence will get slaughtered.

If you think this fucking pedophile looking rat looking cuckold is going to be able to stand up to a southern gentleman you're so wrong.

So in your opinion who won?

I vote neither.

Trump didn't handle the "stop and search" stuff or the cybersecurity issue very well, but I feel overall he won the debate. He made several good points and handled himself reasonably well when Hillary tried to shit on him. He definitely could have done better, so hopefully he improves for the next debate.

Expanding on my, "Memetic potency is the most important factor in any battle..."

Hillary is Ebola and Trump is a common cold virus.

Even though Ebola is superior at killing, it kills so fast that it ends up killing its chances of spreading. The cold can easily infect much more people.

In the end, it's up to the electoral college.

Hillary is no doubt plotting how to steal the election already. She probably wishes she could pull off as cunning a steal as Bush did in 2000, with the help of his brother Jeb in Florida. When professional politicians take your future in their hands, you're going to get a screwing so assume the position.

Hillary is an evil robot that is going to doom us all and Trump is a buffon that is going to doom us all by his incompetence, but that was clear before the debate.

Trump didn't literally take a shit on the floor and Hillary didn't start screaming about frogs while having a seizure, so pretty much nothing changed. If anything, Hillary might get a mild bump from undecideds who have never seen how stupid and incoherent Trump is before.

I agree with this, and I'll say that he led her into a trap with his comments on NAFTA, and succeeding those comments, her comment about Bill doing a "good job" with regard to US jobs.

She conveniently left out that Bill supported NAFTA, until Trump notified the audience about his support.

It was my favorite part of the debate.

Lester the Unlikely pitched some softballs to Hillary in the form of questions about Trump's quotes. Even Vox recognizes that the moderator interrupted her less often than he interrupted Trump.

I had a sinking feeling that this debate would be Trump's weakest of the presidential debates. I expect that the upcoming debates will be better as far as content and style.
