Completely irresponsible of what I assume to be a storm chaser driving the streets in this crap instead of hunkering down somewhere with some cover.

That said, I'm sure I'll be seeing plenty of handwringing and admonishment coming from other weather autists/storm chasers on Twitter over footage like this.

I agree on the basis of granting agency to independent stupidity, I'm just noting that weather autists on social media will have a field day if anybody gets their dumb asses killed trying to be out in the middle of the shit while it's hitting just to capture footage.

If it's an amateur, you'll get so much preaching out of that crowd about "leaving to the professionals". If it's a professional, you'll suddenly see everyone acting as though it was a "hand of God" type tragedy that happened suddenly and without warning because the professional SURELY took every precaution to keep themselves safe and somehow died anyway. Unless there's irrefutable evidence, by way of surviving witnesses or found footage, showcasing that the professional was doing something exceptionally retarded to get themselves killed. Then suddenly all the weather autists get that awkward silence thing going on.

It's just kind of entertaining, seeing the way those people react to stuff like this. It's like clockwork.

Unfortunately a lot of us who are used to getting hit with hurricanes every year or so are stubborn and choose to stay. Storms are way too unpredictable but everyone still seems to go with “it’s always fine, let’s just party instead!”

And then they act like surprised Pikachu whenever shit gets crazy.
