Tumblrinas think nobody would play Metal Gear if Snake dressed up like this.

They obviously don't know Metal Gear fans.

Okay, I heard somewhere around Mission 24-26 having anyone who speaks Kikongo is a big liability, so I'm throwing out every soldier who speaks it that I can, replacing them with people who don't speak it, and keeping the utterly essential ones with special skills quarantined in the waiting room.

Is that a good idea, or is there a more cost efficient way to avoid that liability?

I'm trying to avoid spoilers, just need to know if I'm on the right track.

I tried doing that but holy shit it spreads like a wild fire. I don't think Waiting Room does shit. Do what I do and just rush missions.

I have no idea what happens if you don't have anybody that speaks Kikongo.

There's a better way to do it, if you know that Kikongo speakers are a liability. When the event occurs the game gives you a more efficient way to deal with them. It should be pretty clear what you'll need to do, then just do it as quickly as you can.
I quarantined all my Kikongo speakers immediately when the option became available, and then rushed through the subsequent missions until I'd rescued Code Talker. As a result I only lost a handful of men, mostly just the initial infected. As long as the asymptomatic subjects are quarantined immediately they should survive.

Thanks, got to this part, did this, will speed run like you advised.

Okay, still had some soldiers die on me, but I managed to keep the numbers low. Decided to indulge my inner sociopath for awhile and just kill as many soldiers as possible as opposed to rescuing them and immediately quarantining the Kikongo speakers I was forced to get.

Seems the game will force SOME soldiers to be screwed (they don't have to be in same unit as the Kikongo speakers for the screwjob to occur), no avoiding it (even if you make sure to have as few Kikongo speakers as possible), but careful planning does mitigate the damage somewhat until you get what you need to make it stop.

*Chris sigh* Seriously. Right when I thought I would have my vengeance sated....

After blowing off Skull Face's arm and leg, just leaving him there to die, I kind of felt content. He was suffering, paying for his crimes...and then Huey shoots him. I get the whole "I did it! Revenge is mine!" quip was sort of supposed to lighten the mood, but really, it didn't.

Don't worry
It was probably not, at least no withouth being a dark comedy moment before you know how fucked Huey is and Kaz goes Big Brother

I managed to get in on a stream as the streamer was facing the Metal Gear, and during that scene, the streamer called out Huey as the fuckboi that he was. And yes, Huey is a total S-ranked fuckboi.

Since I might be getting a Puss4 soon, I think I'll be picking up this game, it looks like a blast. And I know I could be getting it for the Puss3, but I might as well go for the Puss4 version, since I gotta get Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 (later) anyways.

After struggling and making deals with the Mexican gaming cartel i have finally got it, the last good thing that konami is going to make

TPP cost 30 bucks in Mexico, confirmed mexico is the new russia for gaming

Jesus that entire section of the game where you ride the truck with Skull while staring at him like some sort of aspergers kid without saying a fucking word. Who thought that was a good idea? I was laughing almost the entire time, Skullface is such a shit villain. And right after that giant cutscene...SUCH A LUST FOR REVENGE...WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO? Major...I'M BURNIN UUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPP. Holy God I couldn't stop laughing, the writing in this game is just unbelievably horrible during those couple of missions.

Yeaaaahh...

He was a pretty shitty villain. Hell is movement in the jeep was so autistic, and sometimes even when he wasn't talking he'd lean in like he was going to cradle Snake's face, wrapped his hands into fists and then didn't say a damn thing.

Going to have to disagree. Snake was told by Kaz to go along with Skull Face to figure out what the hell his plans were, and by this point, the fact Snake doesn't talk much didn't really faze me anymore.

As for Skull Face, c'mon, that dramatic crap when Sahelanthropus first started up didn't clue you in Skull Face was a drama whore? We also got told he had a fire fetish by Code Talker and Skull Face confirmed he had a nihilstic, fatalistic hatred of Zero, and post Mission 31, we learn Skull Face is essentially a walking zombie being kept going by the parasites, and when it looked like he was going to be set on fire again, most likely killing him, being the drama whore he is, I'd have been shocked if he didn't make a big production of it. Not to mention, revenge is a BIG motivator for Skull Face, arguably one of the things keeping him alive as much as the burning zombie that was Volgin at that point, and he's got such a boner for getting it he's just as much Captain Ahab as are Diamond Dogs leaders, so it only makes logical sense he'd assume someone with a grudge was making Sahelanthropus flip out, especially since it's basically confirmed that young Psycho Mantis (what he is, more or less) was making Metal Gear work minus a human pilot in the cockpit beforehand, essentially recycling how Ursula made Metal Gear RAXA move in Portable Ops (and she too was a psychic with a bone to pick).

Snake learning more about Skullface's plans, okay that makes sense. Snake completely risking his life and Skullface not shooting Snake and killing him the few times he could have makes zero sense, especially since he makes it very clear that he wants Venom dead. I mean holy fuck, Snake could and would have died if Mantis didn't uhhh...I don't know what Mantis did to be honest, I'm still very confused on how Volg- I mean Man on Fire works and how he's affected by Mantis. The most I really get about Mantis is that his costume changes a bit depending on who he's working for.
Snake being a mostly silent character is actually a real tragedy to me. Kiefer is a pretty fucking good VA and he had some amazing lines in the game so far. But he has 0 personality compared to previous games because for whatever reason Kojima cut a lot of his dialogue. He's a blank slate, but not blank enough to insert yourself in the role. I get Kojima was trying to go for some sort of self-insert thing with the whole avatar being Venom thing and the lack of dialogue, but it really hurts the story (Also he hints at Venom not being Big Boss way too fucking much to the point where it's obvious right after you leave the hospital). But anyways, you have this scene here where the hero is being told of the villains plans by the villain himself...but he does nothing. He stares at him, absorbs everything he says, offers no opinions, and occasionally looks from side to side. It's just dumb and what makes it worse is Skullface's speech ending and Sins of the Father playing out of NOWHERE while they silently stare at each other like it's some fucking awkward stereotypical prom night.

There's nothing wrong with the over dramatic side of Skullface, but sometimes the shit he says just doesn't make any sense. "SUCH A LUST FOR REVENGE" and "MAJOR I'M BURNIN UPPPPPPPPPPPP" being the best examples of the dumb shit he says. It's just out of place and very odd to the point where the player can't take anything seriously. And considering what Skullface did to MSF, you'd think Kojima would really want to reel in the player at this point and get them involved in this conflict, not make a joke out of it. And my fucking God Huey killing Skullface was retarded and came from NOWHERE. The game is amazingly flawed to the point where I can't help, but wonder if the game only got rave reviews because Konami paid for them.
