Hey, whatcha thinking about?

Just war stuff, I guess.

I just got to the part where I have to quarantine my soldiers. Ended up putting 100+ in quarantine. Lost 10 of my staff, 3 of them being some of my best soldiers. I'm starting to get some feels since I grew kind of attached to them. :( Now I REALLY want revenge against Skull Face!

Tip here: Look at the language that they are speaking.

Well your doing much better then I did. RIP 100 or so guys I let die. I went to the quarantine platform noticed a guard coughing and decided to look for him in the staff list to quarantine him. Well finding a needle in haystack is hard work and while doing this 30 people got symptomatic and 4 died. At this point I gave up and tried to speed run my way to the cure. It didn't work out to well.

so were Jace et al just lifting from the MGS5 pre-release info? Was Kojima giving a shout out The Skullz and Soap the Wolf? Is this stuff just so ubiquitous in modern gaming that it showed up independently?

This is something that's kept me awake at night. The Skulls in MGS5 weren't really called the Skulls until much later. They were just called "Those Who Don't Exist" in the trailer. I'm starting to wonder if maybe, just maybe...Kojima and Jace were collaborating.

Just want to say that i managed to run at 25+ fps on a fucking hd 5670 card at 1080p medium settings.
Kojima is god.

I finish the game ("real ending") and boy that people are going to discuss this more bitter than MGS4 ending. Still I like the intention even if the execution could have been better (as some PostPostGame-tapes deserved a cutscene) and we could live withouth
Liquid's half backed sub plot. Really Kojima, I know Konami stoped given you money but at least eliminate the Eli's Kingdom of Flies subplot if you are just going to finish it in a time table sentence and in a documentary in the Collectors Edition.

Alright, so while I haven't finished the game, I do know about the whole "true ending" debate going on, and I just want to add my two shekels to the debate.

I felt like the ending, the true ending, was Kojima's way of saying that you, the player, are now Big Boss. It's like Big Boss said in the tape, "Thanks to you I left my mark. You have too. You've written your own history. You're your own man. I'm Big Boss, and you are too. He's the two of us together. Where we are today, we built it. This story, this legend...is our's. From here on out, you're Big Boss." The medic was supposed to be you, the player, someone who trusted and observed Big Boss, yet at the same time someone Big Boss also trusted. The realization that you weren't Big Boss himself from the start, that empty feeling, is the realization that the man you trusted had betrayed you. He molded you into his phantom to further his own legend. Now, at the end of it all you are left with a choice: Embrace your new identity as the phantom of Big Boss, or break the mirror and resent it.

Also one thing I will never get is why so many people were obsessed with wanting to rescue Naomi, Grey Fox, Sniper Wolf, etc. in MGS5. I mean for fuck's sake, it would have probably ended up being a fucking fulton mission! We rescue a guy who may or may not be Dr. Madnar, and hell, even that was just a quick fulton. We rescue a ton of people, and hell, maybe Grey Fox gets retconned into being the commander of a unit of African child soldiers, but after getting burned during the making of a Pepsi commercial becomes a white guy, and hence is why he sounds like a black guy that smoked an entire Marlboro factory in the original MGS.

I never thought this game would give me such feels.... Kaz's monologue is 2deep.

Has anyone managed to disarm EVERY SINGLE FOB NUKE?

MASSIVE FUCKING HEAVY METAL ASS SPOILERS AHEAD

Because if you do, you get a very special cutscene and message from Venom Snake.
