Statistics are easy enough to find.
Black South Africans own the least amount of farming land in the country. The new land reform process plans to change that.

Although they form the majority of the population, Black South Africans currently own the least amount of land for farming and agriculture (4%), followed closely by Indian people (5%) — in comparison, white people own 72% of farms and agricultural holdings owned by individuals, according to Africa Check.

According to the 2017 state land audit, farms and other agricultural land amounted to just over 111 million hectares in 2015. The audit only provides a racial breakdown for agricultural land owned by individuals, some 37 million hectares. It estimates that white people own 72% of this land – 26.7 million hectares.
So the 72 percent is only of individually owned land (so sole proprietorships). Somewhat important because a lot of farm land is owned by businesses, government, and tribal groups.
So so do some napkin math that still means that 64 million hectares is not individually owned, meaning that individual white ownership is actually closer to 33%, but the same source does include estimates on companies and trusts:
An Agri SA land audit estimated that white farmers owned 68.5 million hectares of agricultural land in 2016. This includes land owned by companies and trusts and amounts to 56% of total land.Agricultural economist Wandile Sihlobo gave Africa Check an estimate of agricultural land not owned by white people.

Nearly a quarter of a century after the transition to democracy, blacks make up 80% of the population but own just 4% of individually held farmland and 30% of urban land. Whites are 8% of the population and own 72% of farmland and 49% of urban land.
Here we see the 72% stat again, but again in the context of individual ownership.
I believe the source of the 72% stat is this report
https://www.gov.za/sites/default/files/gcis_document/201802/landauditreport13feb2018.pdf
Table 4 shows that a total of 37 078 289 ha farms and agricultural holdings are owned by individuals: 26 663 144 ha or 72% of which are Whites; followed by Coloured at 5 371 383 ha or 15%; Indians at 2 031 790 ha or 5%; Africans at 1 314 873 ha or 4%. Co-owners own 425 537 ha or 1% and other own 1 271 562 ha or 3%.
Some other stats in this report but I'm too lazy to parse through it, and generally I think the information above give a generally good idea of the land ownership.
