I couldn't help but like this mermaid, even with the SJW aspects. The tail is gorgeous, the sparkles are beautiful, I love the lighting effects, it's actually really pretty and cute. The big issues, imo, were the stretch marks (which, if she's fat because she's a mermaid and has blubber, she wouldn't have fucking stretch marks) and the weird green going on in the image. Like, this mermaid's got a pink tail with cyans and magentas and purples, why the green out of nowhere and only on her head?? That's not even contrast in character design, that's just a bad color choice.
So I just tried to paint over the stretch marks and make the hair/eyes match the tail, and figured while I was at it I'd try to get rid of some of the icky green-ness in the whole image. Like, fuck, she's a mermaid with a pink tail, can't she have a pinkish skin tone? Why do SJW artists always go for the worst shades of brown? I just don't get it. It's not like you have to have yellowy/green skin to be black, come on.

Not bad but I think her mid section area looks bit too empty now. Maybe few sparkles on stomach too or a bit more lively bikini top? Still huge improvement, the coherent colrs especially look much better. It has now lovely night life vibe that makes me happy.

They totally designed it with showing off the belly/stretch marks in mind, so now that the focus isn't being drawn there it feels empty. Maybe she could have a prismatic/translucent sort of top with coins on the end to look like the shape of her mermaid scales, like a bellydancer top....

Yours looks way better. I personally have no issue with stretch marks but on her they look weird because they are so prominent. I don't THINK stretch marks are that visible on darker skin (I could be totally wrong though.) Also the slight skin tone change looks great, when the original skin tone blends into the tail it looks muddy and dirty, with yours it looks natural.

When redrawing this one it became less of a "I'm redrawing this because of how bad everyone looks" to me using it as an excuse to draw the twelve beta trolls but as humans, I must admit. The designs could be a lot better though.

I colored them all with white skin first before realizing that putting on the skin colors just...does not mesh well. At all. So #FFFFFF it is.

You can kind of tell which ones I've drawn many times and which ones I actively avoid drawing but practice is practice

Like none of this changes the fact we're looking at the ugliest fat Mexican bastard ever with troon titty scars, but still. Colors, people, colors!! Less icky colors, especially when you want someone or something to look desirable! For the love of God!

He also has a huge dong which is clearly visible in the series(specifically in the golden Age Trilogy movies)... he doesn't have a weird ball-pump-inflate-o-sausage or a freakish roid-clit. I have no clue how these brain-dead genderspecials can "trans" such obviously canonically male characters. It's like they live in an alternate universe or have never watched the series. Probably both.

As a side note, I remember when people would complain about women(or men) that drew fantasy characters circumcised because it was hyper unrealistic.... But now, for some reason, getting 100% passable trans surgeries in a war-torn medieval world is not to be questioned. Fucking clown shit.
 
Did a quick fix-up of a Robogart piece. Specifically, some fanart of Duke Devlin from classic Yu-gi-oh. Mostly wanted to get rid of the arm hair.

Can confirm it is. She's the mystic waif who died in the cookie war prolouge and has an illusion made by Dark Empress Cookie to manipulate the heroes
