another little redraw doodle. i liked the message of the original but the art really irked me, especially fluttershy's muzzle - i have no clue why they made it so blocky.

So I was browsing a particularly shippy tag of One Piece really late at night just because and I came across a picture that scared the shit out of me so much that I just had to redraw it because the person couldn't fucking draw noses. (Granted, Robin's nose is uniquely-drawn and can be difficult, but still.)

There really are a lot of great redraws here but I'm going to go ahead and be honest. Some of y'alls posts look like absolute shit... The solution to bad art isn't to make it worse and throw the concept of line weight out the goddamn window. You actually have to know what you're doing with the anatomy and coloring or you just end up posting two shit pieces of art side by side, except one of them is thin and white.

i just had to fix those eyes.... i know the freckles are out of place but they don't look like a skin disease so that's something

I figured that it'd make more sense for them to have athletic bodies rather than fat because they're always swimming and they can't have a whole lot of dead weight there.

Then there's also the issue of legit no value separation with the design so I just made the hair a whole lot darker for the rainbow parts to stand out more.

i enjoyed the color palette bc the original is pretty hard to look at, but gave her a teardrop shape w/o making her look like a balloon
also the yellow freckles ppl do arent even based on pure lapis lazuli btw so i just kinda. took that out
