This may be a nuclear take, but I actually don't mind HRT being available (for adults) on an informed consent basis. Once you've decided to go down the road to troondom, you probably shouldn't be reproducing, and the prognosis on fertility post-HRT is slim to none. I really don't have a problem with these people being able to remove themselves from the gene pool more effectively.
 
I'm pretty sure the wrestling gig is a thing of the past anyways, I seem to recall that wrestling was racist or transphobic or something as of a few months ago, so there's no way he'd continue in such a deeply problematic role.

He can't spend more than an hour a week on his show, he literally says the same shit every week. He has plenty of time to do other business endeavors, so what is he doing with that time? Probably video games and pornography, hence the estrogen. I'd love to get a look at what he spends his money on, I bet he has a whole room full of toys and infantile shit.
 
I can only hope this isn't some elaborate troll and instead it is his retarded way to do a "reveal" that indeed he is going to transition. Doesn't HTR increases the chances of suffering heart disease and strokes? This thread should now include a dead pool and I'll go ahead an put my money on heart attack as most likely cause of his future demise.

I'm talking more about cases like the state wasting a ton of money for expensive anti overdose drugs, not only wasting money that could have been used for better use, but also encouraging them to push their drug use more and more.

I personally don't disagree with you - but if I were a doctor who swears an oath to "do no harm"; I'd be having a real rough time watching my patients go from "salvageable" to "sterilized, grotesque, and suicidal".

It has to be hard when you take a job to literally help others and it turns into watching people slowly kill themselves because they know best despite your going to school for half a decade and their education coming from "r/sissytransformations" on reddit.

It's also a slippery slope as well - as if adults can make "informed consent" decisions for themselves, why can't they make them for their children? That's currently where we're at in terms of "stopping puberty with hormone blockers" and so on.

You're not wrong. Shit like this poses major ethical issues with the Hippocratic oath, and I draw a hard line at kids taking any hormone altering shit. We don't let kids choose their dinner, yet somehow choosing their gender is just fine. Kids make a lot of really dumb decisions - I wouldn't want a former emo kid fucked up for life just because they posted some cringe shit on myspace in 2006.

The ultimate blackpill on this issue is that there really isn't much that can be done about it right now. Anyone who raises an alarm is shouted down as a bigot and a transphobe. The lawsuits that will more than likely come in 10-20 years will hopefully put an end to this kind of thing being done to children, but not before a whole host of human guinea pigs become 21st century David Reimers in the name of progress.

The ultimate blackpill is just the unavoidable truth that the science isn't there and won't be there for likely hundreds of years at this rate. We aren't actually debating the ethics of turning men into women (or vice versa) but the ethics of turning functioning men and women into sterilized monsters that we all pretend are "complete".

Jim Sterling can shoot all of the dangerous, loosely tested, drugs he wants to in his body and change his name to "Kim Sterling", but he will clearly be a long way off from "a real, actual, functioning or believable woman". His quality of life won't improve and will just get worse until he has no more drastic measures to take left.

There almost certainly will come a point where through DNA editing or genetic modification or trans-humanism or whatever, it will be possible to turn men into women, women into men, and maybe even create third genders in a very real sense. People really will be able to walk around looking like the transsexuals from Cyberpunk 2077, with minimal effort. At that point those who went on HRT to change gender will be hit with major regret, resentment, self-destructive tendencies, you name it. I wish I could live long enough to see that, it'll be a glorious sight to behold.

It's not the estrogen itself, it's the artifical way in which it is distributed, the body only secretes a a few hundred micrograms of estradiol per month while these morons are taking milligrams, which is converted in the liver to estrone (old lady estrogen). Even patches, gels, and creams are only supposed to be used in large amounts for people trying to conceive or maintain a pregnancy.
