Metro Last Light ranger mode was a goddamn waste compared to the 2033 version. One less weapon slot, greatly reduced drops and ammo capacity in exchange for double the throwing knives, that's it. LL had a much more polished weapon upgrade and trading system, but as far as I'm concerned, those are just quality of life improvements. 2033 ranger hard is the only proper way to play those games. I also miss the "stealth armour is the only logical choice since two hits kill you anyway" that was changed to "and y find bigger and better armour at the most convenient locations".
DmC had a pointlessly unnecessarily edgy plot and characters that were completely shit, but the gameplay was just as tight as Devil May Cry 3 or 4, and that's what really counts. You can skip the scenes but not the game itself.
Speaking of which, the only Metal Gear game I've ever played is Rising Revengeance, and I regret nothing. At least it's fun to play and Kojima's insanity was kept to a minimum.
I prefer Gothic 1-3 to post-Morrowind Elder Scrolls.
I weep whenever I remember Alpha Protocol never got a sequel.
