The Digital Millenium Copyright Act is so fucking awful. It's abusable, it's easily morphed and twisted, and worst of all, it isn't just a problem now. It's been a problem for years. I learned about this during the early years of YouTube Poop, and when a bunch of Nintendo game videos not made by Nintendo were getting taken down with extremely false and unproven people misrepresenting a brand or company (sometimes, the brand or company didn't exist, and would just take down a video because the DMCA looked professional enough.) Even a few years back,
an episode of Family Guy used someone's own YouTube video, and because it matched the footage in technicality, the video was taken down for copyright. There seriously needs to be a reform.
