I started watching her channel & a few other death fats initially because I wanted to see how these people lived; how they got to the point where they made it on to My 600 Lb. Life. That show usually glosses over the "how did they get here?" stuff in favour of the often very icky, current reality.
Amber & a few others increasingly strike me at the point where they're just about bedbound & really into M600Lb.L reality.
I knew, previous to watching our crop of death fats, that they protected their food addiction at almost all cost - jobs, marriages, mobility, etc. but didn't really grasp the extremes they'd go to. I like to think I have a better understanding now but to be honest, I still don't really get it.
Let's assume Amber doesn't make it - dies on the OR table or shortly thereafter from complications. How would she be eulogized? She's done nothing of significance in her life; hell, she hasn't met the most basic adult milestones.
I guess in a way it's a good thing that she's not smart or self-aware. She's unlikely to be seized with last minute regrets about all the tings her overeating prevented her from doing with her life.
