she might be seeing this as "let's have one last binge before (I) the die(t). her mom is there so she can't really go all out like she wants to or is she? maybe making her mom feel guilty by eating a ton of rice.

She mentioned something going on with her dad. so did they find him? maybe he made something up because he didn't want to be the next caretaker. AL mentioned having a big incision, I hope she somehow hires some home health aide to clean her and doesn't rely on Becky.

Even if the surgeon were willing to operate, the anaesthetist might not be. Part of pre-op screening is assessing whether you're in good enough shape for a general and it's not unusual for people to be referred for more testing if there's doubt.

Radiotherapy and brachytherapy wouldn't be the first choice of treatment for Amber, and I'm not sure either would work given her enormous amount of blubber, but her size may mean she's ultimately stuck with less than ideal treatment options.

I find it curious that she still hasn't mentioned the specific type of cancer, only it's location, as that informs treatment decisions.

That's for stomach reduction surgery though. Even though the risk of her not waking up from general anesthesia is the same, she hasn't talked about a weight-loss requirement at all.

Usually, a weight-loss surgeon requires you to drop a certain number of pounds before they will agree to operate. WingsOfRedemption famously flew to Mexico to see a surgeon who had a more lax weight requirement because he just couldn't make the cut.

I guess a cancer treatment does not have the same stringent safety requirements, because the patient is dead without the surgery anyway?
 
Im shocked everytime I check up on Amber. I really hope someone does a case study on her before she dies. Her willingness to die for food and dedication to constantly failing is amazing.
 
I've been aware of Amber for a while now and lurking this thread, but I just have to say the following sentence in this video made me howl:

"I actually bought a recliner, new, from the store, they delivered it yesterday, from the store, the furniture store, they delivered it yesterday."

Queen of being succinct in saying whatever the FUCK she's saying.

Since this was filmed on July 1st that means she gained 7 pounds in as many days. In her June 25th video, when she announced the hysterectomy, she said she wanted to lose 17 pounds in the next few weeks leading up the the surgery. Less than 1 pound a day and she couldn't pull it off.

Ditto. Combine that with her tonsillitis or whatever it was she probably self-diagnosed with, and you have yourself a recipe for weight loss. Not sustained weight loss, of course, because this is the Big Al show.

People commenting about how cancer always causes you to lose weight: this is not true. There are a variety of factors at work, and a very slow-growing cancer is not going to go on a rampage like Big Al through a bag of Hot Cheetos. There are many people (hello) who do not have weight loss as a sign of possible cancer. Without getting into it, I can say mine was also more aggressive than the one she claims. Now, the treatment - yes, that involved a lot of weight loss, and I'm not a giant fatass who could afford to lose it. So, keep in mind: different cancers, different weight-related thingies going on.

Me! It occurred to me when they first vanished that they'd had enough of her shit, made a plan to get as far away as possible from this screechy bitch, and executed that plan. If they did, and they read the farms: good job, y'all. You do not want to be part of that shitshow, even though my black farming heart would love the dirt on the inevitable fallout between Big Al and MamaMeth. Man, I want reports of that when it happens SO BADLY.

The weight limit is around 220lbs if I'm remembering correctly. I used to work in mortuary pick up services and dropped a couple of decedents off at science centers.

I have my doubts about whether she's even met with a multi-disciplinary team yet. If she had, they would have encouraged her to improve her fitness prior to surgery even if she didn't lose weight.

There are just a whole lot of things which come with a cancer diagnosis and treatment which don't seem to be happening in her case yet.
 
Meh. As I said before, they're gonna gut her like a trout, rip out all the nasty shit they find, then stitch her her dainty self back together.

What happens from there is anybody's guess.

It will be epic. And don't think for a moment she won't play every moment of it for asspats. She will.
 
She's been fussing for months when people complain about her childish, lame & repetitive content. Now, she genuinely has something legit & of probable interest to many to talk about. She wouldn't have to get too personal either if she didn't want to but she could - in general - talk about so many aspects of this diagnosis. What further steps do people with endometrial cancer usually do next in terms of testing? What tests did she undergo? Did they hurt, were they uncomfortable, scary; any of that would be interesting to a great many people - especially those who may have reason to think they might be at higher risk than most of developing cancer.

How is she coping, (other than stuffing her face like there's no tomorrow), how is she preparing to manage her recovery at home? Is there any particular aspect that really worries or her or genuinely frightens her?

Although I for one would love to know, nobody needs to know her specifics be that bloodwork results, any consults she's had... but as we grow older, cancer becomes a higher risk & lots of us may have to face that some day & we know it.

An honest verbal account of her experiences might be helpful to many - not to mention herself. Sometimes it does help to talk things out even if, in her case, it's just to the camera.
 
Guise, I’ve been doeen hours and hours of research and this chemo diet will work for me. No dieteen and no calorie counteen, just a little port thingy and some radiation-type deal and your girl gonna be a skinny legend. *lipsmack*
 
Either shes not really getting surgery or she has just given up. I'm not even trying to be funny,ambers addiction to mcdonalds and ruffle chips will always win over everything and that includes getting down to a lower weight so shes not 500lbs during a hysterectomy. Shes so mentally sick that she will turn to her partner that apparently loves her and says I need fried chicken cause im sad about not having a uterus anymore.

The only thing that makes me believe the cancer is her mom being there. Other than that the fact that the gays have been gone for like a month and how shes just casually stuffing her face before being split open is wild to me. Wouldn't the doctors look at her and think this woman needs a controlled diet before she goes under the knife?
