You guys remember Erin Coffeestar? The transtrender MtF who terrorizes his dad with his faggotry on a daily basis? Yeah. He’s still a lunatic. He’s mostly keeping his whinging to his Telegram group chat. He’s an attention whore... he basically just posts there whenever he needs his pity fix. I check there from time to time, the creepiness from him really never stops.

He thinks his dad necked himself specifically to spite him, and he basically admits that at the funeral he didn't give a fuck about his dad and was only upset because his relatives weren't playing along with his troon shit.

At no point does Dan step back and think that his dad basically had to watch the son he raised die and be replaced with someone else. Not only that, but I bet Dan modeled his "female" identity after his dead mom, so his poor dad also had to deal with his insane son creepily cosplaying his dead wife. Plus depression isn't rational-- it's a disease, so there's a lot more to suicide than just arbitrarily deciding to do it. Obviously his dad didn't do it solely for the sake of abandoning him, but narc Dan assumes it's all about him anyway.

And if he's right that his dad's a narcissist who abandoned him, he probably just can't face the fact that he's more like his dad than he'd care to admit, however much he tried to turn into his mom not to become his dad.

Remember who we’re talking about here: a drama-seeking narcissist who views everything through the lens of himself.

From what I’ve gathered, Dan’s parent split when he was >2 years old. After that his mother was unable to raise Dan and his sister and the children were possibly placed in state (foster) care for a brief time while Dan’s father attempted to gain custody. This would’ve been in the early 1980s. There were no “orphanages” in NZ then. If a foster family couldn’t be found, then the child was placed in a residential home, the standard in many western countries.

In at least one tweet Dan indicated that his mother’s family was also trying to get the two kids, so there was probably some legal wrangling going on; at that time, fathers being awarded full custody was even more of an uphill battle that it is today.

In the meantime Dan’s father had married Dan’s stepmother. After his father gained custody, Dan’s stepmom adopted the two kids.

This all appears to occur before Dan was 4 years old. Dan’s stepmother was 21 when she married and adopted the kids and speaks of raising the two of them from when they were very young. Dan’s sister and her adopted mum are close and seem to have a loving, positive relationship.

Dan is welcome to correct the record here of course.

Both his father and bio mum committed suicide, as Dan has mentioned numerous times on his public twitter account of nearly 15,000 followers so I’m not sure how normal that is. Tragic, certainly— which is why I never mentioned any of that in my initial post. My heart isn’t completely :heart-empty:

Ultimately Dan is a middle class, straight married white man (and military vet) who has the privilege of working in his chosen “profession”— self-published fantasy writer— while being lauded as some kind of troon freedom fighter by a sympathetic local media. Watching a narc like Dan gorge on this attention like it’s a Sizzler buffet (and go back for seconds) has been rather telling.
